We loved it! Finally something which is more focused on science and nature inspiring than sport.
We did not expect an observatory in this area! We went on Thursdays Sept 28 for the evening show. They had two telescopes outside pointing at Saturn and the moon. Enthusiasts students tried to align the telescopes. I wished there would have been more students engaged in this. Unfortunately it was full moon which is not the best time for night sky observation. Then the show started inside the planetarium. Angelo, we think was his name (no introduction was made), appeared to be the teacher, gave us interesting "Space News" followed by a nice show we followed looking up the ceiling. Please, keep it up but improve your promotion for this inspiring site!

So much fun! We were able to travel to several of the moons that orbit Jupiter, travel through the milky way, and a cluster of stars that were forming.

I've been here on many occoccasions over 11 plus year's I've lived here, and beyond thanks to my sister! I used to live in a very light polluted area of Ca. If you take the time to look up at the sky here it has so much beauty to show. You feel like you could almost reach out and touch the sky. Always informative and awesome, thanks to the awesome people whom have and do work and study our wondrous Sky from our beautiful location. If you have a chance GO! lol Tanks again.

One of my favorite places to visit in Lake County. Great monthly program on the fourth Saturday evening of each month. The program includes a lecture on astrophysics, a planetarium protection screening, and the opportunity to view the night sky with professional telescopes.

I took my daughter's(5, 10) here for the Perseids Meteor Shower. They played a 30-40 minute video in the planetarium and they loved it. I would definitely recommend bringing your children here.

Taylor volunteers hosted an excellent presentation for the Lake County Certified Tourism Ambassadors. A number of the CTAs had never been to the facility. We learned a lot about what a great asset we have to share with visitors to Lake County. And, the new telescope is awesome.

My son took me for my 50th birthday for the first time recently. I learned quite a bit and will definitely be returning. Very nicely put together.
