This is the place to stay in Grafton. Our group had the three suites, which shared an awesome common room with games, movies, a pool table, and a bar. The deck featured spectacular views of the river. There was a nice coffee station as well. My only wish was that they provided a breakfast, otherwise this place was perfect.

We stayed at Tara Point for a joint bachelor/bachelorette party and it was absolutely amazing!! The cottages are VERY SPACIOUS and come with everything you need! Whirlpool tub was very relaxing. They were centrally located so we could easily get to wineries and restaurants. The view is MAGNIFICENT!! All the cottages face west and you can see for miles. It was very relaxing to sit on the porch and enjoy the views and the stars!! We saw deer and lots of hawks. It was a perfect weekend and I would definitely stay here again and again!!

First off let's get the bad out of the way... The bed was wayyyyy too soft for our liking! (Room: Redbud R2)
The TVs are tiny for such a big space... The living room TV is maybe 20 inches and the bedroom TV is 32. LoL!
I think they should put at least a 46 in the bedroom.
The towels could use a little softener for sure.

Ok for the good....
The view we had in room (Redbud) R2 was spectacular! I never use that word but in this case it fits!
So peaceful save the occasional loud boat on the river.

Nice to have the full size fridge and a little microwave for longer stays. There's a couple complimentary cans of coke in the fridge so bring the Rum! 😯😄
They supply Folgers coffee. Both decaf and full power.

The electric fireplace in the living room is a nice touch. 😉

The jetted tub in the bathroom fits 2 comfortably!

The sitting area on the porch is great for relaxing and reminiscing!
You may see a few deer out front as we did. 😊
We saw a few rabbits and several types of birds.

Several amazing restaurants and bar and grills close by to choose from.

Can't wait to go back this coming winter to see the hundreds of Bald Eagles that call this area home for a few months!

Amazing place!! Gorgeous views!! Accommodations were top notch!!! Hosts were more than accommodating! Great place to stay after a day of activities in Grafton!! Wineries, shopping and hiking were just a few of the things we did!! We will be staying here again!!

If I could give more stars for location I would! We really enjoyed watching the deer on our porch in the morning with a cup of coffee and with a cold drink in the evening. The owners were very nice. Rooms were clean and beds were comfortable. Lots of good food and fun places within a few minutes. Would not hesitate to recommend. I can't wait to go back.

We stayed at Tara Point Inn & Cottages the first 2 nights of our trip south along the Great River Road. Start to finish, booking to checkout, was a wonderful experience. The Inn has a commanding presence high on a hill overlooking the Illinois and Mississippi Rivers and is located minutes from Pere Marquette State Park. Many eateries and shopping opportunities can be found in Grafton, just down the hill. We were pleased with our stay in the Riverside Room #2 in the inn. Though on the small side, it had plenty of room to be comfortable with spectacular views. We hardly spent any time in the room, anyway, because a porch with comfortable chairs, running the length of the building, was right outside our door. Other chairs with are dotted around the property, providing plenty of opportunities to relax and admire the views. The games/common room provided popcorn and soft drinks, as well as morning coffee. We received a gracious welcome from the innkeeper who also shared recommendations for local restaurants and things to do. Highly recommended.

We stayed in H2 Cabin. The cabin was an excellent room. The room and grounds were clean, clean, clean!!! Everything you could think you might need in a room was there! We enjoyed sitting on the front porch of the cabin in the gentle breeze and watching the views! Since the cabins are in the woods, they even suppled wasp spay --- although we didn't need it. It was super quiet at night and we slept like a rock! Tara Point was the perfect place to end your day of shopping or experiencing the local flavor! I didn't add pictures because the pictures that are already here are exactly as it was!

Tara point was excellent beautiful views of the rivers. Rooms were great.. Enjoyed sitting on porch too. Wish they at least include a continental breakfast in the rooms. Would definitely stay again. Jacuzzi was great. Loved the flea market , shops, bars and restaurants. The drive was gorgeous
