Super duper busy! They appeared short-staffed.
It was Christmas Eve, so it makes sense they were busy!

Being that we just came back from Korea yesterday, and we were having Korean food for three weeks straight, it’s going to be hard to say the food was amazing, but it was good.

The side dishes were average, but good for the states.

The service was good and the robots were nice.

It’s a nice and clean restaurant!

I like that they have hot barley tea instead of just cold water. You need to ask for it, or they don’t give it to you.

We celebrated Chinese new year at Tang Jip Korean Restaurant in Concord and, to tell you the truth, had an overall average experience. The food was decent, with some highlights like the hot stone bibimbap, which was flavorful and satisfying (mmmm, with that crust). The banchan was also a nice touch, with a few of the marinades standing out as particularly tasty.

However, the service was pretty dry. The only standout was the polite robot serving the tables, which was an interesting touch, but it didn’t make up for the lack of personal interaction. The interior was very casual, almost old-school, which didn’t add much to the atmosphere.

One strange thing was that the check never came to our table, so we had to go to the register to pay. Overall, it was a fine meal, but nothing that would make me rush back.

It’s a bummer that the price went up. I had chicken Del pot bibimbap, and my partner had the spicy pork lunch special with tofu soup, comes with white rice. You can choose your spice level. I love that everything came with a Delpot to keep it hot.
The Banchan was really good, though they didn’t offer a refill this time, which used to do. Maybe only one server was working.
They had K-pop plying on the three screens, but the music from the speaker didn’t match the videos. Still, food was great overall.

This is a very nice authentic Korean restaurant. They serve a good variety of different fare. The service was fast, good and attentive. The price is reasonable. We had a seafood pancake and a combo beef tang, the food was very tasty and we liked the food very much. This is definitely one of the better Korean restaurants in the area. We'll be coming back for more.

Tang Jip in Concord is fantastic! The food is fresh and flavorful, with authentic Korean dishes that truly stand out. The staff is friendly, and the cozy atmosphere makes it a great spot to enjoy a meal. Highly recommend the [specific dish, e.g., "kimchi stew"]—it’s delicious. Great portions and fair prices. I’ll definitely be back!

The food here is so good. If you’re looking for good tasting authentic Korean food this place is the spot. Loved the bibimbap and sundubu jigae. The bulgogi was very good as well.

I had braised short ribs (Galbijjim) today. The spiciness was just right, the meat was tender, and it was delicious. It was an enjoyable meal.

We have visited this restaurant three times and always enjoyed the food. The portions are generous, the prices are reasonable, and the flavors are great, which is why we were willing to drive 30 minutes to dine here. Unfortunately, our most recent visit left us feeling disappointed and disrespected due to unacceptable service.

From the beginning, we felt neglected. As non-Koreans, we noticed that the level of attention we received was very different from what others seemed to experience. When we asked for our side dishes to be refilled, the server simply took our plates away and never came back with anything. Later, when my friend asked for the check, he mispoke and said, “we want to check out.” Instead of responding professionally, the waitress laughed loudly at him in a rude and condescending manner.

This kind of treatment is deeply upsetting. A minor language misstep or accent should never be a reason for discrimination or disrespect. Based on this experience, I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone who isn’t Korean or doesn’t speak perfect English, as it seems you won’t receive the same courtesy or service.

While we have genuinely enjoyed the food here in the past, this experience has completely overshadowed the positive memories and left a lasting negative impression.
