We came in on the Alaskan Railway into Talkeetna and we were met with a pick up service at the station. |We were picked up in a big Chevy Silverado truck which was awesome as I love the American truck culture. It was a short ride through the township of Talkeetna down to the inn. You could actually walk if you need but it was good to get a lift as we arrived in winter with snow and ice on the roads.|We got to the Inn to check in but as were a little early, we had to wait an hour for the room to be cleaned.|Once we got checked in, we went to the room and to enter it, you had a code for the door which you need to punch into the keypad to enter the room.|The room was little old and dated and probably had, what I thought was the ugliest, fan / light combo. It was a wooden block / fan / lamp shades with antlers as well. Its just my taste, that one.|The styling was country with wood camouflage bed covers. The bathroom was a little dated but was clean and functional.|The bed however was the most comfortable bed I slept in during my month long holiday in Canada and America. It was firm yet comfortable and the doona was just the right heaviness and warmth for the room. The pillows were really nice as well.|We had a great resting sleep while we were here.|The lady who ran the place was very kind and very friendly and welcoming and helpful with anything you needed.|The room we had, had a view out to the Susitna river, which was iced and snowed over while were there. It was in a good location in the town. Its a small town and you can get anywhere walking in about 5 minutes.|The lady who ran the place also organized us a lift back to the Alaskan Railroad depot when we needed on our last day.|The pricing for the room was very reasonable as well, which is always good as America and Alaska can be very expensive.|Would we stay here again. Most definitely, we loved our stay here and would gladly come back. I would like to thank our host for an amazing stay.

Location is pretty. Backyard opens to the river behind with gorgeous views of Denali in the distance. Very close to the main downtown street. Front desk folks are very friendly and helpful. However the rooms are tiny for the price paid. They are clean and tidy but expensive. Unfortunately there isn’t much option around in the town for lower prices.

This place isn’t fancy but it is clean and the accessibility to Main Street makes it the best place to stay. If take a quick walk down to the river you can spot a bald eagle and see Denali on a clear day. Warning: the rooms are not fancy and there are no TVs but you’re in Alaska and the sun sets after 10:00. Also, the WiFi is good so you can always watch stuff on your iPad or phone. But again, the best feature is the accessibility to town - one block away.

This is a great motor-inn style resort right on the river. The older rooms are all connected by a breezeway and are a bit more season-proof. There is a newer row of rooms whose veranda opens to views of the river. The rooms are clean and a bit of a time-machine. There's a bar and office in adjoined A-frames. The outdoor shared space is great with seating and games--including Lawn Darts; Have Fun and Heads-up!

Nice rustic clean room. Who drinks instant coffee anymore? When booking room the site said coffee in room. Was not expecting instant coffee. I think this should be noted. Room had a misty smell to it also. But that’s probably due to all the rain. Also I would recommend a user guide on how to operate Dish TV for those who never have used Dish.

I would give all the stars to the place. Not very luxurious but the best stay. Not very fancy but when you're outside, you forget everything.

It was a cute stay in a cute Talkeetna town. You can walk 10 steps and here you are with the best Denali view from the town and in the bank of a river.

I enjoyed my morning in front of Denali and spent a good time with nature.

I was pleased with the location so close to downtown, and the river is practically in your backyard. It is clean and the receptionist Sherry was very friendly heloful with suggestions for restaurants. The wi-fi was slow 'ish but you're in Alaska. This isn't a fancy upscale place but it works , perfect for the basics. My room didn't have a TV - not a priority for me. The bar/lounge next door is nice that locals visit and chat. There is plenty of lovely green grass and outdoor furniture and games to enjoy/rekax if you have active kids...I would return- location high priority for me.

The room was small but clean There wasn’t a TV in our room WiFi didn’t work. Had to have a code to enter room. The code was 1234 too easy for anyone to figure out.||Good points the room faces the river and is quiet. We also were within easy walking distance to downtown
