Very few places capture what it's like to experience a true kitchen full of loving grandma's making sunday breakfast for the family, here you embody that feeling. This place transports you to Mexico, waking up with a smell of coffee with cinnamon and piloncillo where the first sip will make you feel it's going to be ok.
Then the food comes, a burst of colors and flavors that turns into a pleasurable orgy taste in your mouth.
Pictured are the combo plates, Talavera omelette with red chilaquiles and spinach and mushroom omelette with red chilaquiles. Anything you order from this menu will be delicious and bring that same feeling 100% of the time.

Awesome 👌🏼 spot for breakfast ❤️. The Pablano sauce w/beef and the huevos con chorizo(corn tortilla, of course)...... wow! Coffee was not to my taste(you can try if you want), but Jamaica Agua Fresca muy bien. I hope you enjoy the good food as much as I did.

Always excellent and great value. Be prepared to wait to be seated up to one hour sometimes. Owner is always present. Café de olla is delicious, generous portions. Landmark spot in Chula.

We've been here a few times now and it's one of the places we can take my Mexican MIL that she's always happy. Wait gets long later in the morning, so coming closer to 8 is recommended.

All of the food we've tried so far is very good. My recommendation is the half omelette with side of chilaqiles. They have a table salsa they bring out, but if you're okay with spice ask about the habanero salsa - it's really good. The café de olla is a bit on the sweet side. They also have pretty affordable mimosas. Everything we've tried has been great, and the costs are fairly reasonable compared to other breakfast places in San Diego.

The only drawbacks are that it's very hot in there most days and also very loud.

The bathroom is nice and clean and accessible!

Our service was great, the food was delicious, flavorful and so authentic! everything was priced on the higher side considering San Diego prices in general. This place is also very well kept, clean, with beautiful sapphire blue decor. The staff was welcoming and kind, and our wait time was not very long considering how busy it was (we waited 30 minutes), and our food came out quickly in a busy rush. Our food was delicious!!!

I got the chilaquiles poblano, which was $15 plus I added chorizo for $4.50

I also got an amazing freshly squeezed grapefruit juice for $7.50

I will be returning here again and again!

Went here on a Sunday and was not expecting too much. However, their chilaquiles poblano was out of my taste buds. It was so good that I would come back again. The wait was probably about 20-35 minutes. But was definitely worth it.

Cute cafe. Super popular for the food, not the photos. Exoect to wait. Worth the wait. Had Puños and cafe de olla. The Cafe was a little too sweet, but good.
The punos are arrachera cooked fajitas style with green onions and bacon. Come with rice beans and tortillas. 100% recommend. Enough for 2 or one to roll out the door.

Food wise, it is very delicious!!! A couple of complaints are that waiting for Jamaica took a little longer than other drinks at that time! It seemed like the food we ordered came after some people that came after us as well. The food service may be dependent on what we had ordered at the time.

Overall, it was quite nice and seemed like we got there at the right time as there were about 20-25 people outside waiting after us. The place is decorated in blue and white with certain pops of color from time to time, and it did give a nice Casita feel to it. Nonetheless, it was quite nice once we got to sit down( around 9:50 a.m.)!

I ordered the Chilaquiles Poblano and the flavor was phenomenal! My significant other ordered the Machaca Ranchero and the meat was flavorful and JUICY!!! That's a hard part to nail so I greatly appreciated that.

I would say, if you have some time to spend. Spend it there and enjoy a great meal! Highly recommend!!!
