Nice campground! Two lakes provide plenty of wildlife and walk-around to enjoy. Well maintained campground, but the front of our site did need low hanging branches to be trimmed up as our fifth wheel RV is 12.5 feet tall, about an average height. When leaving, we were able to avoided possible roof damage by backing up and leaving an alternate way, so that worked out fine.
Owners were very accommodating and helpful when we were asking questions about the right site for us. They suggested the perfect site for us and our friends camping together.
Sycamore is a very nice city with good places to eat and big stores for any needs. We were delighted to find various well maintained bike trails accessible just outside the campground.
We had a great time and will be going back!

Love The Sycamore RV resort. The owner, Dale, is always so helpful. This campground is a beautiful oasis hidden in the heart of Sycamore, and I highly recommend you take the time to visit!

Crabby old man at front desk was rude and arrogant. Our reserved “water front” campsite was just in a parking lot, almost on top of other campers. Very little room. Everything is locked up including bathrooms and swimming entry. Walked a half mile with 2 small kids to find beach entry locked. No sign indicated it would be locked. Waited 30 min for someone to open it. Whole weekend was a nightmare here. I’d give it zero stars if i could, but you get a 1.

this review is harder because the grounds of the park are beautiful. nice rural area.
BUT ! the way to get in to this park is ridiculous- not sure why the park. the other businesses and the cory have not resolved a be eye stupid turning situation in to. very bumpy road and narrow road. No street sign (hey City, fix this !). very small blue camping sign that you don't see in time to make the turn. Just a really stupid situation that should be fixed !!! And-very very close/tight spaces on top of each other; it's an older park probably so not at all set up foe ease of access for bigger rigs.
I gave it a 4 for the grounds. 3 for the rest due to above.

This is the little hidden secret in Sycamore. I love going there. Everybody is very nice friendly staff friendly campers when I’m not camping I go there and enjoy the little beach

We loved this campground, we stayed here 21 days in June and July. The people are very nice and we had wonderful neighbors. We have a small camper so we had a very nice spot under and tree with a beautiful view of the lake. The walk around the lake is very nice and you can walk to downtown Sycamore which is a lovely community with great restaurants and bars, a farmer's market on Tuesdays, beautiful parks, and a recreation center. I grew up in this area so it was wonderful to be back for 4th of july in my hometown. I would definitely recommend this campground.

The resort is very nice and right in a quiet small town. You can walk or ride bikes down town or take a bike ride on the great northern trail. Very clean and nice big trees. |Downside is not horrible but a concern that can be corrected. Our site had a concrete pad that had major cracks that sunk creating a big tripping hazard. After a couple days you get used to it and avoid by placing large objects in front but my husband and I both took some near falls at first. Laundry is $3.50 for washers and they are small. Dryers are large so maybe it balances out. 4 of each. Driveway has many potholes but no big deal to us. Bathrooms and showers are clean. Lots of grass areas to walk dogs but no dog park.
