We recently had the pleasure of hosting our wedding at this beautiful venue in August, and we can’t recommend it highly enough! Nestled in a charming small town, the property features a lovely Victorian home filled with vintage details that added a unique touch to our stay.

The venue itself is absolutely breathtaking. We held our ceremony on the headlands, surrounded by stunning ocean views, followed by a delightful cocktail hour on the veranda and in the back garden. For the reception, we utilized the expansive lawn, which provided the perfect setting for our celebration. The variety of areas allowed us to change the ambiance throughout the day, creating a truly magical experience.

A special mention to Gary, the owner, who was fantastic to work with. His clear communication made the booking and planning process seamless. Dolores, the property manager, did an amazing job preparing the house for us and checking in as needed, ensuring everything went smoothly.

We also want to thank Phoebe and Jason, who helped with security, parking, and assisting during our welcome party and the wedding. Their kindness and professionalism contributed significantly to our overall experience.

This venue including the home is a gem, and the entire team made our wedding day & weekend unforgettable. We will cherish the memories made here forever. If you’re looking for a special place for your big day, look no further!

I’m at a loss for words when it comes to describing what a magical place Switzer Farm is. From the moment I saw pictures, I knew I had to visit, and when I did, I knew from the first few moments that this was where I wanted to spend my wedding weekend (heck I’d spend the rest of my life here if I was allowed!). Gary and his team at Switzer Farm are incredibly professional but also kind and work extremely hard to make sure that you have everything you need to make your stay the best ever. The house itself is meticulously restored, but at the same time, it feels cozy and lived in, not like a museum. It’s the way that the house and the outdoor space work together to create the most peaceful but vibrant energy. The Mendocino coast and the town of Westport California are incredibly picturesque, but somehow Gary and his team have created a landscape at Switzer that is truly breathtaking and inviting. Every single guest couldn’t stop talking about how beautiful it was, and all of us didn’t want to leave. We hope we can visit again, but we will never forget our incredibly magical weekend at Switzer Farm, and can’t recommend it enough to those looking for a beautiful space to stay and celebrate at.

There was no component of our wedding weekend more complimented than the venue itself. People could not stop remarking about the beauty of Switzer Farm and how lucky they felt to have had the opportunity to visit. Many have said they'd like to get married there next! Gary and Dolores were a joy to work with and we appreciated the extra effort they both took to familiarize us and our vendors with the property.

We felt extra, extra grateful to have had the opportunity to stay onsite for our wedding and enjoyed the beautiful accommodations, kitchen, and access to our wedding! The extra special opportunity to spend more time with our families at Switzer will be cherished forever.

This is a wonderful spot for a small wedding. It's truly one of the most beautifully restored homes I've ever visited, and Gary's love of the property shows through. He has meticulously restored the place -- the furniture and light fixtures are truly wonderful. The grounds are beautiful -- Gary and his team have lovingly landscaped everything on the grounds; there's brand-new NFL-grade-grass for the reception area, and I can't think of a better spot to get married than on the grassy area overlooking the ocean. Gary is so quick to answer questions -- incredibly responsive and knowledgeable. We really enjoyed working with him.

If you are looking for a small gathering at a spectacularly beautiful venue, then you can't find a better spot!

Switzer Farm is one of the most stunning wedding venues I have ever been to! As a wedding photographer, this location provided everything in terms of backdrops for photos. The views are gorgeous, both the exterior and interior areas are lovely, with multiple areas that can be utilized for events. I highly recommend this location if you are searching for a wedding venue!

I had the unfathomable good fortune to spend a weekend with friends at Switzer Farm, and it is hard to describe the beauty and majesty of the restored Victorian farmhouse itself, the Mendocino coastline, and the pleasure of the experience (unfathomable!). The tremendous good taste and appreciation for history itself and The Eclectic characterizes the aesthetic of the owners, Gary Weiss and Michiko Tamate. They are the kindest, most generous and helpful hosts, and the experience of staying in their home is like none other. We enjoyed cooking in the well-equipped kitchen (clearly the owners are foodies of the First Order), getting lost in the old library full of rich obscure texts about farming, whaling, forestry lore of the North Highway, and doing jigsaw puzzles on the large dining room table. And that's just some of the fun to be had INSIDE Switzer Farm!

One can quickly see that it is an ideal location for a wedding especially in the fall or spring but even in the dead of winter (when I was there). The ocean itself, the meadows, the gardens across 22 acres are perfect for roaming, meandering and sloshing around (fi you are lucky enough to get there in the rain). Considering the house can accommodate so many guests (not to mention the sweet little romantic cottage across the lawn), it is a real bargain. Just go look at the web site for inspiration. Can't say enough good things about Switzer Farm. Even more beautiful than the spectacular photos!

As a photographer I have shot at Switzer Farm a couple times and each one blows me away even more. Not only is the owner Gary so sweet, but the venue itself is near cliffs, trees and the ocean. This is a photographer's dream and is my mom's hometown so it means so much to me to shoot here. Cannot wait to shoot another wedding here next year!!! This is the destination spot to choose!

It hard to put in words how amazing Switzer Farm truly is! We got married here a month ago and it was such a magical experience. We met with Gary (owner) about 18 months before we tied the knot and he could not have a better host along the way! He was tremendously helpful in every way, checking in with us throughout the process, sharing updates, running ideas by us, and really making sure our time at Switzer Farm was unforgettable. Sure enough, it was!!! The house, the deck, the views are one of a kind and I cannot thank Gary and Switzer Farm for letting us share our wedding with all our friends and family there.
