It was our first time trying Sweet Basil Cafe and it was great! The food was tasty and plentiful. The service was friendly, quick and attentive! Marielys was very nice and happy.

The only low point I have is that they charge $3 extra if you want to substitute fruit as a side instead of potato. As a diabetic, I would prefer fruit, but as the skillet is already $18 I didn’t want to pay $21 for it. I adjusted and just ate half the hash browns.

Sweet Basil Cafe is not to be missed! Walking through their door we were greeted by friendly staff and inviting decor! The food is delicious and portions are generous! This was my first time dining at Sweet Basil Cafe and I had the pleasure of meeting the owner, Dimitri, who is very personable and invested in his restaurants! Make sure you try their delicious homemade banana bread! Visit Sweet Basil Cafe and you won't be disappointed!

The wife and I stopped by tonight and enjoyed, fried pickles, salad, and the BLT club. The portion sizes were big, and the overall visit was a good value. The service was polite and very fast. We enjoyed our experience, highly recommended.

Update, we went in for breakfast and enjoyed great service, food and atmosphere! We are turning into regulars here and plan to be back in the near future.

New update, wife and two friends went to have lunch today. Everything was excellent, including the service! Five stars from us!

The service was great: friendly, helpful, and patient. The portions were quite large, the restaurant is clean, bright, and I was pleasantly surprised that they have a "pet patio" area for seating.

Where I have some minor critiques is the food flavor. I am really glad that they bring a generous amount of warm maple syrup to your table, and I love banana bread french toast, so ordering that was a no-brainer. I was presented with a mountain range of it, which looked amazing, but it cooled instantly and was drier than I typically think of for banana bread. This is fine, considering they also have a deep fried bread foster dessert on the menu, and I can imagine that it requires less moisture in the bread to hold up to frying. However, to create a softer texture it would be great if they would let the banana bread soak for longer to make french toast because — being thick-cut and dense — it doesn't absorb the egg custard quickly.

The plus side of this: great leftovers. The banana french toast is better the following day once it has a chance to soak up syrup and cinnamon butter when you reheat it on a skillet or an iron.

The only other minor downside: I wish we had ordered french fries instead of hash browns as a side. The hash browns were crispy, but lacked discernable seasoning that I think of for potatoes (like garlic, onions, spices, etc), and tasted of cooking oil.

Overall, we'll definitely be back to work our way through the menu and try to find new favorites.

We stopped here after a quick search for “pancakes near me”, at our two year old’s request. We had a very nice breakfast for dinner! Our daughters (5 and 2) really enjoyed their chocolate chip pancakes, Mickey Mouse pancakes, and sausage! Our server (I didn’t catch her name) was so sweet and let the kids pick out their favorite color of bendy straw. I am a vegetarian and they were very accommodating about adjusting a skillet to add/remove ingredients. I ended up getting the Mediterranean skillet with no bacon and added mushrooms and jalapeños. It was delicious! I have eaten a lot of veggie skillets in my day and this one was top notch! My husband got the meatloaf, but he wasn’t wowed by it. As we were leaving they threw in some mini banana breads and cinnamon butter, which we can’t wait to try! I will recommend this place to our friends and family who live near by!

Great selection of food at reasonable prices. Big portions! Friendly staff. Plenty of seating. Nice-sized patio outside for good weather. My dad loves this place. He takes down his huge breakfast sandwich like it's his last meal. 😆 Highly recommend checking out Sweet Basil Cafe if you live nearby
