We ended our 2-week Alaskan driving vacation with 2 nights at Susitna Sunsets and were so glad that we did. Del Ann was so accommodating and really made our visit special. Great views from the spacious common area, comfortable large room and excellent breakfasts. We were up in the foothills and happy to be away from the downtown area, but Anchorage is not a big city, so it was easy to get to restaurants, shopping and places that we wanted to see. We even got to see a moose from the back deck. All in all, a exceptional experience.

Linda, our hostess, made us feel so comfortable at the B&B she runs with Tom (I apologize if I have names wrong) that when we returned at the end of a trip to Denali National Park we felt that we were practically coming home. The location is good. Although the house is a tiny bit to the west of the town center it is only about 1 mile from the railroad station; a 10 - 12 minute ride to the airport, a short walk to the Anchorage Museum, and at the most a 10-minute walk to the center of downtown. We stayed in the Susitna Suite which has a private bathroom, small kitchenette area, a king-sized bed, a sitting area, plenty of space to keep clothing, and a view overlooking Cook Inlet. We were very, very satisfied with the room. (I don't know about other rooms, but some may have shared bathrooms.) The rest of the house is comfortably appointed and spacious.with views of Cool Inlet. Although supposedly serving only a continental breakfast during a helpfully wide window of 7:00 - 10:00, this is a continental breakfast which can include reindeer sausage, quiche, cooked eggs, smoked salmon, delicious bread, numerous cereals, fresh fruit, juices, and more. Our hosts were exceptionally helpful about Anchorage and transportation options. When and if we return to Anchorage, we will definitely want to stay here.

We stayed two nights (two couples) on our arrival in Alaska and then spent our last night there as well. We stayed in the Woodlands suite (2 bedrooms, Jack and Jill bath). Del Ann was kind and courteous and always ready with local dining and activity suggestions. The place was spotlessly clean, with a beautiful view of not only the city and Denali (on the clear days.)||||We truly felt at home, and honestly, when we returned the last night of our visit, it really was like "being home," after our journey. This place was truly a pleasure to visit and stay.||||Oh, and yes, Del Ann's a great breakfast cook, quite accommodating for times, dietary restrictions and even "choices," which one doesn't always get at a B&B. You'll never leave the place for the day hungry, nor well satisfied with your breakfast. Our wives enjoyed her outdoors flowers and decorations. The three patio / decks offer super outdoor seating and enjoyment.||||When we return to Anchorage, we'll certainly stay here.

Stayed here for four nights while attending a high school re-union. Great location was just off upper O'Malley Road...very near our re-union venues. ||||Our hostess, Del Ann was wonderful as were the breakfasts she prepared. We stayed in the Suite at the front of the house with views of the forested lot. Bed was comfy and the entire sute was very spacious. ||||This is one of the best b and b's we have ever found anywhere in the world and plan to return on our next trip to Alaska.

This was the most relaxing, friendly place to stay. Breakfast each morning was OVER-THE-TOP delicious!! Impeccably clean! You can't go wrong booking Susitna Sunsets BnB!! The view of the Susitna Mountains-could even see Denali-was spectacular!! We are so excited to have had such a special time during our first time in Alaska!!

Read some reviews on this place and decided it looked like a great place to spend a couple of nights. I was not disappointed! The host went out of her way to make sure I had everything I needed and was very knowledgeable on the area. The breakfasts were outstanding! The view from the deck was remarkable and was a really nice treat to sit out there and enjoy the sun. The room was very well maintained and clean. I stayed in the garden suite which had a steam shower. That was great to come back to after some long hikes. Overall I can't say enough good things about this place and it's owner. Hopefully be back in 2017!

I absolutely love staying here year after year. This place has the best views in anchorage! Breakfast is always great, house is one of the cleaniest I have ever seen, gardens here are simply gorgeous. Really cant say enough if traveling this is a great stop.

This is a wonderful B&B. The house is beautiful with a fantastic view. Our experience was amplified by the fact that we were the only guests in the house, and had the whole house with a beautiful common room just for ourselves (the owners live downstairs in a separate part of he house. But the number of guest room is quite small, so even with the full house I am sure that guests have a lot of space.||The hosts are extremely nice and helpful, almost anticipating all our possible wishes.||We stayed in several B&Bs during our recent trip to Alaska. We are happy with our experience in all places we stayed, but this was by far the nicest.
