The front desk agent was professional. The location is fairly good because it’s right next to a 7-11 and very good Mexican food spot. It’s kind of a hit/miss situation though- cause there’s a lot of people lingering around the hotel. I would not recommend this place to a friend because the rooms felt grimy. It just didn’t have a fresh feeling- the towels were rough, the floors were gross, the walls were gross. Although it wasn’t horrible, I would not come back here.

The rooms are remodeled. Staff was friendly. There are restaurants, Costco, and Walmart within 10 minutes. We were 25 minutes from the border. The parking lot was safe. Breakfast was decent, waffles, cereal, breads, some fruit, juice, coffee, and other options

Edit: Went down to this location to see if there was someone else I could talk to or just make the res and put down the stupid deposit. There was only one man there. Did not speak English well. I asked him why he was being rude just because I was asking questions and he said you don’t meet the criteria to stay here. I asked him to clarify and he said, “You have no money.” Beg your pardon. Yes. I do have money. I intended to be a paying customer for my one night stay. I just had a hard time understanding why the deposit was so high for a single person on a one night stay. I told him I was autistic and that is why I ask a lot of questions. He kept hurling insults at me and the said, “ leave my property.” I told him that I would leave as soon as he told me what I did wrong. He then proceeded to lock me in the lobby and call the police screaming he’s getting robbed. I found an unlocked door and opened it. There was an unlocked window and I popped out the screen and jumped out. Warning!⚠️ This man is aggressive, rude, lied to law enforcement to try to get me arrested and he held me hostage. Warning!⚠️

Tried to reserve a room on Expedia, but I noticed that they were charging a $100 deposit. I called on Sunday at 2pm to discuss this with the front desk. I’m autistic, so I had some questions. The man on the phone was so rude. First call he hung up on me when I tried to clarify that a reservation for 1 person for a 1 night stay was charged a $100 deposit. Second call, I inquired about whether it had to be cash or if I could use a credit card and how long it would take to get the money credited back to my credit card. The man was so rude. He told me that if I had $100 I could stay and then he made a remark that made me flabbergasted. He told me, “This place is not for homeless.” I explained that I was not homeless and asked if there was anyone there that could make an exception. The entire time I was polite and kind, even though he was speaking to me very disrespectfully and rude. He then asked what I meant about an exception. I started to answer by stating that I had stayed at another hotel a couple of months ago and they just took my credit card info, but he cut me off saying that was not Best Western and then, hung up on me again. I have never been treated so rudely for just asking questions.

Worst Experience. They Jacked up the rate from 485 after canceling my reservation I had to rebook for over $700. We had friend over to meet up and have a drink the following day I was told that I have 30 minutes to leave or they will be calling the cops because the agent said that he didn't feel safe. When the cops arrived they said that we were being asked to leave because we had unauthorized visitors. We were never told that we cannot have visitors and were being profiled from the minute we walked into the hotel. The breakfast was dry and burnt and and the customer service was horrible. I wouldn't recommend this hotel to my enemy. Find somewhere else to stay if you can its not worth it.

Rude staff. Worst breakfast ever. Maintainence guy makes a lot of noise in the morning we woke up 3 hours before our waking hour. A bit dated hotel. Elevator was smelling. Price was fair so we choose this place.

The interior of some of the rooms isn't bad but overall this place sucks. It shouldn't even be a two star. Breakfast is an absolute bare minimal including very dilited coffee and I'm not sure if they're powdered eggs, but they're the weirdest things I've ever seen and they don't taste like they should be eating. The afternoon shift behind the desk is a complete. We'll just let it go with that. I checked in for a 9-day stay and got put in the room and was told we're going to have to change you the next day because the TV doesn't work. Then they put me in a room that was right on the street where it was so freaking loud. I could barely sleep has to be exchanged. Wait another night to go through it and then got hassled the next night when I was supposed to finally get a decent room. Not worth your time. Not worth your money. There's hundreds of other places to stay in the San Diego area. Don't waste your time with these people. I can't wait to see what their comment is to me

It's a motel with sufficient accommodations. There is some road noise but my room 211 wasn't too bad. The most noise actually came from water pipes and people rolling their luggage. Basic breakfast with eggs, sausage, toast, bagel, cereal, yogurt, oatmeal, and drinks. Close to different shops and restaurants. I ran to exercise afternoons, I did not feel unsafe.
