La Paloma has been my go-to spot for as long as I can remember. I’ve been coming here since I was a little girl, and I’m almost 30 now! It’s a in Chicago Heights, tucked inside a Mexican grocery store with a window in the back where you can order the most authentic Mexican food. Every single time I’ve gone the food is fresh, flavorful, and extremely delicious.
The atmosphere is welcoming you can tell it’s definitely family owned.

when I use to eat beef and pork, their steak tacos were my favorite, now I stick to chicken, and it’s just as incredible. Their tacos are unmatched, and don’t even get me started on their corn in a cup. If you’re in the Chicago Heights area, you have to check them out. You won’t regret it!

Ordered my same order- Carne asada dinner. 🗑️ trash for the 2nd time, small portions, over cooked meat, no grilled onions. So disappointed!

I will give them the benefit of the doubt, but have to share to make sure it does not happen to you. This past weekend I called in ahead of time to order food. I asked for sizes and prices and ordered. I arrived to find the size was larger than I had ordered over the phone. I did not complain at that time because I had already decided upon driving there that I would order more. Upon arriving to my home, which is a bit far of a drive, I find items that I made sure I mentioned to not be a part of my order. These items are placed inside to make the weight heavier.

I will have to give them the benefit of the doubt that maybe, just maybe the man taking my order did not hear me clearly. But make sure that you triple check your order before leaving the store.

Awful service. came in and placed an order for 15 tacos. Waited for twenty five minutes. The woman who ordered behind us started complaining in Spanish about how she thought she was there before us (she thought because we were black we wouldn't understand. We did). She wasn't there before us but we watched one of the cooks put some of our order into her bag and she left. They brought out new meat and started making our order fresh. When we brought it to his attention, the man laughed and said "oh I got confused". I've been here dozens of times and I'll never go again. The tacos are slightly overpriced but decently flavored.

I bought some meat to make pozole not much but it stinky i just threw it away won't be shopping there no more to crowed store too small. But they are making sure people wear their mask! Customers not keeping their 6 feet distance..

I have not been here in 5 yrs no longer in Illinois..small neighborhood store with the beat tamels & carnitas ever and I've had a lot of carnitas..they only have them on Saturday & Sunday but worth the wait..the meat & masa ratio is perfect..the carnitas definitely the best
Message to the cook..Keep up the good work..I will be back...OH yes like everything else the price has gone up to 8.99 a lb...but my craving was satisfied after 5 years it was worth it😃😃
