This is not a Super 8. It is a Rodeway Inn that needs updating on multiple levels. There is no breakfast offered. There is also no front desk person to talk to. They are using a kiosk station with a camera where you talk to someone through a screen. It did not make my experience comfortable and felt like I was on display/recorded. My customer experience is honestly not that good even though the person I was talking to through the kiosk was friendly and helpful. I do not recommend.

I do recommend that the Rodeway Inn updates this hotel and hires someone to sit at the front desk to communicate with customers. Get rid of the kiosk.

Very nice clean room. Everything was tops. The staff was helpful and friendly. Our room had a small frig. (that we did not use) was making strange noises. Taked to stall when leaving, and that said they would take care of it. Concern was floor was wet near frig. Needed more waffle mix machine was empty. Staff was on it QUICK. >

Super 8 Effingham|Very nice fast checkin by the guy on the front desk. |Lovely room 102 right by the lobby. Well appointed, plenty of workspace and power outlets in the desktop lamps. |Wifi a good 28 Meg. Room was well prepared and cooled off on a very hot day. |Lovely sleep in the large bed. |Proper TV channels on the TV, not those stupid streaming service ones. |Walmart and restaurants all within 5 minutes walking distance. |Happy to recommend

Bed was firm and comfortable; room was clean, odor free. Bathroom was updated; caulking around vanity top needs to be replaced. Carpet appeared to be clean except at entry to room. Room 100 was ok but on the small side. Room was quiet.|Guest checkin/breakfast area very small, not appealing. Breakfast was available and typical, not exciting. Host at desk appeared to be bored with job and not engaged.|Would stay again because it was a good value for good sleep.

The hotel name booked was Super 8, but the makeshift sign was Rodeway Inn. No actual front desk person, instead a virtual receptionist on a computer. I was the only customer @ 6 pm. Didn't feel safe.

The outside area was littered with garbage. The pot used for cigarette butts was completely full and not emptied for a ling time.
Carpet in the room was worn and pieced together.
There was a big black spot underneath the bathroom sink. Tub was partially dirty.
The furniture was old and outdated.
There was some type of splatter on the walls by the bed.

We stopped at this hotel on our way home for 1 night. The outside area was littered with garbage and broken glass. The smoking post outside looked like it hadn't been emptied in weeks.|The carpet in the room was very worn and pieced together in some places. The furniture was cheap and outdated.|There was a big black spot of something under the bathroom sink on the floor.||We have stayed here many times before but will not stay here again.

I’m not a very picky person. As long as I can get some rest and there isn’t bed bugs and I feel safe, I’m good. The shower was not cleaned properly and the room definitely smells stale. The bed and ac were glorious and I’m ready to continue my road trip. Thank you to the worker who helped me. I can see he tries to stay up with the hotel as I saw him scrubbing down a room as I was checking out. Also per a previous review, I see no problem in taking care of customers as well as spending time with your son and wife. He is just trying to balance work and life like us all. Give some grace. Would recommend for short stay.
