Nice coffee spot in downtown Elgin that I was glad to find this past Saturday afternoon. Very friendly baristas and a large menu full of the usual suspects and more. Ordered a Chili Chocolate iced latte after one the baristas gave me a rundown of what was in it.

Tasted great and liked the laidback feel that I got even from just being inside of the cafe for a little while. Looking forward to warmer weather so that I can grab an iced shakerato the next time I'm in Elgin.

Percy greeted me at the counter. Such a smiling face. Offered to heat up my quiche. Which is amazing, by the way! (Croissant crust is so innovative.) Pat brought out my order quickly, (Also very friendly.) Nice dine in vibe. Took home croissants. You can tell it takes 3 days to make them. Photo worthy, and flaky beyond compare. Shout out to Kelly in the back!

we love this place. The people are very helpful and friendly. The coffee is great. The ham and cheese croissants could be better I suppose , with more actual ham and cheese inside them, but we really go there for the coffee.
It's a cozy place but a bit noisy with the sounds and conversation bouncing off the hard surface walls.

I had a fantastic experience at Sugar and Rhyme today. I walked in with my 1 year old and the women working were so kind and helpful. They explained the baked goods they had and what was most popular. I got a latte and a few croissants and monkey bread to go and they even included a print out of instructions to reheat the croissants. After I ordered, they also asked if I needed anything for my son to drink which was so thoughtful. Everything was delicious! Will return.

This cafe has a wonderful staff/owners and the best croissants I've ever had! I've tried all their croissants and adore them all: classic butter croissants, chocolate croissants, almond croissants, and even smoked ham and gouda filled! Their other pastries are great, too. And they make an awesome chai latte - my favorite drink! And, I absolutely love that they use eco friendly packaging. I hope this place stays in Elgin for a long time. We're so lucky to have them.

Stopped in on a whim. I usually go to a different place in downtown Elgin but they open much later. I absolutely love the aesthetic of this place. The staff were super friendly even when I asked them a bunch of questions about a dirty chai. I ordered a dirty chai which was really good and also the chocolate amaretto cheesecake. Amaretto is one of my favorite flavors which is pretty rare to find. The cheesecake was delicious and I will definitely be going back. Maybe sitting in the cafe this time.
What really sold me on this place was the friendly staff, that's rare these days.

Came by for the first time today to try a few croissants. Very cute and cozy little shop. The employees were so nice and welcoming and the croissants were incredible! Well worth a stop in, will definitely be back for more baked goods and some coffee!

The food is amazing. I haven't had a croissant of this quality since visiting family in Europe in 2008. My heart is SO HAPPY! Also the coffee is really good and they make everything in house. It's reasonably priced. I selfishly want them to thrive so I can always have delicious croissants.
