Thursday afternoon August 8th. I checked into the hotel for the last minute due to my condo is currently now under construction due to the leak in my unit.
The front desk staff it's okay it was just kind of a little bit of miscommunication I said for one night only when he accidentally charge for two nights on my credit card however he fix it and dispute back to my credit for only one night it took a little longer to check in.
My room was not too far from the lobby it was just around the corner..
The room is very spacious it's very much like having your little apartment except there's no washer and dryer in the hotel room so you just need to go down the hall for a washer and dryer. The room had a kitchen with the stove microwave and a refrigerator. My room was facing the north side where you hear cars going back and forth. Did not bother me because I sleep without my hearing aids. The room is so big it's easy to walk around the bathroom is pretty big even the walk in closet is huge. there is also a kind of a little storage back at the bathroom you can add more stuff even your bicycle. There's only a table in a chair inside the kitchen. I wish there was a computer desk inside the bedroom so that when people are on the computer can watch TV or eat at the same time also it kighter in the bedroom. There is a patio however there's no tables and chair outside. best to bring your own folding chair to relax on the patio.
The air conditioning and heater took a moment to figure out how to operate Once you turn the blue button for cool and then you need to press the bottom button for fan and it'll work. I kept the room extra cool by having the other door closed.
Unfortunately the swimming pool is closed this summer for some maintenance reason I don't know why I just saw the sign in a lobby that said the pool is closed.
Overall I had a great experience staying at the hotel I will repeat it's not bad for the price for $123 a night you really get more for your money. And that $123 a night that's including taxes and surcharge.
The location which I'm going to say about 80% walking score there are a lot of shops and restaurants nearby. There are two bus lines in front of the hotel here's how it works.
Bus 14 and 16 are free runs 5 days a week Monday through Friday they both take you to the Concord BART. Only the 314 bus runs on the weekends and that's free as well. The bus 314 will take you to Concord BART. Bus 14 that is across the street from the hotel is outbound will take you to Pleasant Hill BART and Walnut Creek Park. The bus 16 outbound that's also across the street from the hotel will take you to downtown Pleasant Hill and to the Amtrak station Martinez. The downtown Pleasant Hill has a lot of fancy restaurants, shops and movie theaters there as well. The bus 314 across the street from the hotel outbound will just take you to Diablo Valley College.
Once again the hotel the very modern facility always clean and I was just highly recommend it and there's free Wi-Fi as well.
The only reason I took away one star there are some improvement that needs to be made by the hotel is at 1 it should be another desk inside the bedroom next to the TV finally this should be a table to chair out on a patio.
