Had an amazing stay at this hotel! The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, making sure every detail was perfect. The rooms were clean, spacious, and well-maintained, with comfortable beds and great amenities. The location was ideal, with easy access to nearby attractions and restaurants. The hotel also had excellent facilities, including a beautiful pool and a well-equipped fitness center. Overall, a fantastic experience—highly recommend and will definitely be back!

We just spent a few days in Galena and we stayed at the Stoney Creek Inn. This place, we think was perfect for us. The atmosphere was great, the rooms were nice and the interior and exterior was very clean. The staff were friendly and accommodating, especially Karen at front desk and John the manager. We will stay here again and we'll bring the rest of the family and kids.

Parts of it was wonderful. Front staff were extremely polite. I could hear every conversation that the people the next room but maybe they just naturally talk loud. Kids were still running up and down the hallways until midnight - or maybe jumping their way around the hallway - but that is from poor parenting. I gave everything wonderful until I went to take a shower. I had to use a washcloth to wipe out the hair floating in the shower & the hair was black while mine is not. I showed the front desk in person, on the side. She was as grossed out as I was and was going to let the manager know. When I checked out, she asked if I has any other issues & I mentioned the kids, but I added that wasn't her fault. Other clients checked out due to the noise level, so she mentioned that she hoped the manager would send an email apologizing. That was 5 days ago & I haven't heard anything.

Our room was very comfortable and clean. Theresa at the front desk was very welcoming. She was efficient and solved a booking.com issue with a GREAT attitude. She was really nice and very good at her job. She handled several guests at the same time, by herself. She was kind to each person. The world could learn a lot about life by her example. Thank you, Theresa, for being kind and patient.

We came here on a random whim and were extremely satisfied and impressed. Karen made my daughter smile throughout the entire checkin process. The aesthetic was pleasant and the rooms very comfortable. The pool and hot tub were clean, and very well maintained. Charlie, the man running the pool, was in there before 7am ensuring it was top quality and it made us happy. The woman who was at the desk for breakfast, Kelly, was also very sweet and kind. For a 2 star hotel and the price, I would come back here 100 times. Highly recommend this hotel should you be visiting anywhere within 30 minutes. We happened to be visiting Dubuque and still found the extra little drive here very worth it.

Great lodge-y feel. Staff was incredibly kind and accommodating. We took 5 squirrelly girls (between 8-16) there for a long weekend. It was incredibly family friendly. Much to do. Every one of us had a great time!

Yes, the location is away from the quaint, historical part of town, but it's very convenient to US-20 and close to gas and groceries. Room was very clean, spacious, and comfortable. (Jacuzzi Suite) Cabin/Woods theming throughout property is fun, not fancy, and we got a kick out of it. Service from front desk to bar to breakfast room was excellent. Only cons - 1) the suite had a shower stall in the bathroom which was a bit small/tight given the overall size of the room, and 2) the facility is poorly insulated for sound - it sounded like the occupants of the room above us were tap dancing, but they thankfully turned in early!
