Our group of eight just got back from an adventure filled five day stay at Stillpoint. The staff was incredible, the activities were exciting and catered to our speed, the scenery was unbelievable, the beds/cabins were comfortable and the food was fantastic.

We did the Grace Ridge Hike on the first day which was challenging (in a good way) but some of the best views I have seen. On the second day we went bear viewing and could not believe how close we were to the Grizzlies. Third day was an e-bike excursion in Seldovia where we enjoyed the small town charm and speed of the bikes. Fourth day was deep sea fishing and all four of our fishers caught our limits and we now have >115 pounds of fish coming home. Then on the final day we kayaked in the glacier lake and even did a little wakeboarding in the cove. All activities were fantastic and we highly recommend them to all. However we especially recommend visiting Stillpoint. Zack and team did a wonderful job accommodating our groups different requests/preferences (food, activities, etc) and were always there with a smile - they truly take care of everything once you are there which makes it much easier to relax/enjoy your vacation. This was a one of a kind experience and we hope to make it back since there is still plenty of Alaska left to explore!

100/10- That is how Stillpoint Lodge was rated from our travelers that we just sent to this little slice of heaven on earth! Our travelers absolutely raved about their experience and how they were treated like royalty! The welcoming ceremony brought one of them to tears!! The hikes were amazing! The e-bike tour was so much fun! The bear viewing activity was their favorite. They loved how much attention is given to allowing humans to observe the bears in the natural habitat, while not disturbing them. Best part of their vacation! We cannot wait to send others back to you!

I recently had the pleasure of visiting Alaska for the third time, and I must say that my stay at Stillpoint Lodge surpassed all my previous experiences. Throughout my 6-day stay, I found myself wishing I had extended it to 7 days, as there were so many incredible activities to enjoy. The lodge provided a truly unforgettable experience.

One of the standout aspects of my stay was the delicious food. The culinary team went above and beyond to cater to our needs, even preparing specialty snacks upon request. The staff at Stillpoint Lodge was exceptional, attending to our every need with great care and making our stay even more memorable.

One of the advantages of staying at Stillpoint Lodge was the extensive range of gear available. I only needed to bring a few changes of clothes since the lodge provided everything from boots and raincoats to backpacks and hiking poles. This made it incredibly convenient and allowed me to fully immerse myself in the outdoor activities.

Visiting in July proved to be a fantastic choice as the weather was splendid. It's truly a great month to explore Alaska. I'm already eagerly looking forward to returning next year.

However, the ultimate highlight of my stay was the on-site massage. I can confidently say that it was the best massage I have ever experienced. I highly recommend trying Roberta; her skills are truly exceptional.

If you're searching for the perfect place to stay in Alaska, where you can fully embrace nature and easily access a wide range of outdoor adventures, then Stillpoint Lodge is an absolute must-visit. Trust me, you won't regret it.

I would give Stillpoint Lodge 6 starts if we could. My family travels regularly and would place Stillpoint amongst our favorite trips. Incredible property, gourmet meals, and beautiful accommodations complement the truly unspoiled beauty of Halibut Bay. The excursions will generate lifetime memories. We enjoyed bear viewing, fishing and the glacier hike. We also enjoyed having time to simply enjoying the property. Most importantly, the staff are truly special. We felt like we were saying goodbye to friends who welcomed us to their Alaskan home. If you are thinking of a trip to Alaska combing luxury accommodations, outdoor excursions and rustic beauty, you've found your spot.

What a spectacular experience. We booked the helicopter tour and several other excursions and. All of them were some of the highlights of our entire trip. The customer service and atmosphere is second to none. The food and drinks were exceptional and our cabin had the most incredible view and furnishings. Very accommodating for weather and time restraints. Just went above and beyond I cannot recommend them enough!

We’ve wanted to do Alaska for years, but we were worried about where to stay because it always looked too “sportsman” for a trip with the whole family. We have an 8 yo boy (that part’s a slam dunk) and an 11 yo girl that prefers things more refined.||We chose Stillpoint because it looked like we could get the full Alaska experience and satisfy the whole family. It exceeded our expectations and was an exceptional experience.||Some specifics we really liked:||1. The location is a stunning cove only accessible by water (e.g boat, float-plane, etc). Very calm and peaceful as the whole cove is wake-free and full of wildlife (otters, seals, eagles). The tide swings are huge - 10-25 feet so the water is always gently moving to keep it fresh and interesting. The mosquitos weren’t too bad for us, but we were there in late June ‘23 so maybe that was a factor.||2. Our cabin was secluded and had a great view with a deck that looked over the cove (I think most/all of them do). We didn’t spend much time there because we were always doing things, but it had everything we needed. One note that I’m not sure I fully appreciated beforehand is that the bathroom is private to the cabin, but in its own little room just a few feet from the cabin entrance. All the plumbing and showers are normal and worked great. But, for those of us that get up in the night to use the bathroom, you do walk a few feet outside. Ultimately I found it to be super cool to wake up at 2:00 am, walk outside to an incredibly peaceful scene while it was still fully light outside (we were there toward the end of June). We were worried about sleeping with so much daylight, but it turned out to not be an issue for any of us.||3. The food was perhaps the most surprising. We expected good food, but this was fabulous. Beautiful presentations for every meal and it tasted great. I don’t know how they manage to do this with how hard it must be to keep the kitchen stocked in this remote location. Lots of vegetables and herbs from their garden. For example, the “special” for breakfast one day was “kimchee toast with scrambled eggs”. Not what I’d expect from an Alaska lodge, but wow it was amazing. And the oysters were the best we’ve ever had - from right there in Kachemak Bay. And they taught us how to shuck them so we ordered 6 dozen and had them shipped to us from the oyster coop on the Homer spit. Highly recommend this.||4. The excursions were great. We saw bears, caught lots of halibut and salmon, and went on great hikes. All of the excursions were led by great folks with top-rate equipment and tailored to our ability level. The first day we did a 2-3 mile hike to a glacier lake and kayaked around giant chunks of ice - it felt like a National Geographic movie. And they packed us great lunches we ate by a campfire on the shore.||5. The team that runs Stillpoint is special and has a family feel. They seem to love what they do and, because it’s such a small lodge with only a few families at any one time, you get to know the people and it doesn’t feel “corporate” or stiff. Everyone chips in to make the guest experience work - the chefs, guides, masseuses, etc. When you’re there you become part of their extended family and they really go out of their way to make it special. For example, we had trouble getting to the Homer airport due to some traffic issues on the Homer spit. They literally helped us drag our luggage by hand over a mile so we could get passed the traffic and catch our flight on time to get home. It’s a story you should ask them to share with you!||In summary, Stillpoint was the perfect mix of rustic Alaska experience with the comforts of feeling at home with wonderful people who would bend over backwards to make our stay special. Thank you to the team and Stillpoint!

What can I say about Stillpoint Lodge that hasn't already been said. it is a very special place if your privileged to go there. From the pre- emailed questionnaire asking you for your wants and needs and if there is anything you can't "Live without" during your stay to the attention of every detail while your on property. This place is incredible. THE Staff is outstanding! They all lineup on the dock upon your arrival. Your given a tour of the property and then taken to your cabins. They are all on the water and are immaculate. The food service animals provided by top notch chef's are first class. The Excursions planned were the highlight of course. Bear viewing couldn't have been a more exhilarating experience and we left SPL with almost 200 lbs of fish to take home. Alaska in the summer is as beautiful as it gets but if not for JT, Zack, and the rest of the staff it wouldn't have been as good. There is nothing left out when staying here. I can't wait to go back and am excited for anyone who reads this to make their reservations!! You won't regret it!
