Sweet little mid-century style motel. Very clean and comfortable. We had a “single king” room with parking right outside the door. Very basic, but there is a pool complete with handicap lift (closed at the moment). Slightly worn and dated but. service was prompt and cheerful, and very responsive. We were there to view the night sky and found a perfect spot nearby.

I have stayed here 3 times and it has been good each time. The location is great - close to Christmas Circle and easy to get everywhere. The facility is a bit dated, but that is part of the charm. Service has been great.

I stayed two nights this past week. The motel is basic, but it had everything I needed: a comfortable bed, a nice bathroom and shower, and a refrigerator and microwave. It also had good air conditioning, which was welcome in the afternoon heat. I was not able to get there until about 10 at night. The manager called me while I was on the way and stayed late to allow me to check in. The area is dark and a great place for start gazing. I was able to see the Milky Way from the motel parking lot.

No frills but clean with a retro vibe. Room has a fridge. They turned off the parking lot lights at 9 to help with Borrego Springs being a Dark Skies Town which was a plus for us. (Wish the neighbor across the street would do the same but that's not Stanlunds' fault.) We didn't use the AC or TV. Staff was super friendly at check in.

There’s a reason this place has been popular in Borrego Springs since the 60’s. Clean, comfortable rooms for a far price. We stayed in room #4. It has a nice kitchen and front patio. Could have easily spent additional days.|Courteous and friendly check-in, great location close to town.|Will be back!

The pics on the website(s) are deceiving, especially for what the room rates are. We don't feel we got value for our money. Room was ok, but needs to seriously be updated. Bed was comfy and clean. Microwave, ironing board and coffee maker are all ancient. No hot water. Full hot on and no cold on in shower and it was barely lukewarm. Lock on room was not working properly, which was a little unnerving. Pool area was dirty, no chairs set up. A bit bummed about it. As info.

First let me state that we will be staying at Stanlunds Inn & Suites the next time we return to Borrego Springs.
Our reason for this visit was simply to rest, relax and explore the entire region surrounding Borrego Springs, Salton Sea, Julian etc.
The staff is very personal which we appreciate and the room was spacious, clean with a kitchen and all utensils we used to prepare breakfast and supper in our room. The air conditioning was quiet and cool.
Our patio had a built-in brick bar-b-que pit which we used as well.
The pool is absolutely awesome and we enjoyed a lazy afternoon dipping in and out of it and relaxing with coffee on the lounge chairs in the shade.
The landscaping is meticulously manicured and provides a real oasis/resort atmosphere to enjoy the desert mountain views during the day and the stars at night.
