We were married at splendor mountain and it was absolutely perfect. The view during our ceremony was breathtaking. The bridal bungalow was really nice for getting ready. The groom prepared at a very nice cabin on site. We had our reception at the lodge and it was so pretty, with string lights and a beautiful porch. Chevin is the greatest host, I will miss being in contact with her. Chevin is very responsive and will take fantastic care of you!

A group of 20 women from our church came up for the weekend for a retreat at Splendor Mountain in fall 2017. The leaves were at their peak, and the area is gorgeous. We used both meeting facilities, the loft bedroom and both cabins and were pleased with all the facilities. One thing I especially appreciated was how Chevin provided the extras that we are used to having to bring ourselves: coffee filters, trash bags, toiletries, paper products, etc. Those items speak to the overall attitude of hospitality we encountered. If we needed something, Chevin was quick to help and provide it. She was attentive and checked on us regularly throughout the stay. She and Steve are great hosts, and we felt welcomed and pampered. All the facilities are tastefully decorated with high end touches. We had our meetings in the Sunrise Lodge and meals in the lower floor, Soul Kitchen. We prepared our own meals and both rooms were plenty big enough for our needs. The wrap around porch and rocking chairs at the lodge provide additional hang out areas, and the grounds provide places to get away and enjoy the beauty of nature. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Splendor Mountain and highly recommend it to anyone planing an event or family getaway!

This was a perfect place for our extended family to spend the weekend. The cabin was exactly what we were looking for and had the best time. The lower level was perfect sleeping and hang out for the older teens / young 20 year olds on our trip. The location in Splendor Mountain is private and wooded which was ideal and exactly what a mountain getaway should be. I would highly recommend staying here. You won’t be disappointed. Thank you Chevin for sharing your gorgeous property with others and for your wonderful hospitality!!!

Beautiful October Wedding at Splendor Mountain 10/22/22

For People who love short reviews: Chevin Woodruff and her son Uri, provided outstanding service for the use of their entire Mountain view property, including rehearsal space, reception building, and gorgeous outdoor area for the wedding service. Chevin has great love and care for the people that come to Splendor Mountain. Uri works extremely hard to make sure the property and buildings look fresh and well kept. It has been just over two months and we are still so impressed by the level of care and support we received the entire weekend. You will not be disappointed if you select Splendor Mountain for your wedding venue.

For People who love long reviews: Chevin Woodruff and her son Uri provided our son and our new daughter in law with the most outstanding service for their wedding weekend. From the moment our families met Chevin we knew we were in good hands. The property is outstanding with broad sweeping views of the mountains and feels isolated yet only about 10-15 minutes from Clayton. It has many vista spots, trails, a pond, lovely buildings and two cabins for lodging (extra). It was a fantastic weekend!! We visited the venue several times throughout the process, Chevin was always happy to answer questions and let us walk around the property working out our plans. She spent several hours meeting with us and the wedding planner. There is not a more patient person on earth than Chevin. Uri is the other powerhouse member of the team, he works tirelessly on improving the property, maintaining the buildings and setting up for the ceremony.
The property is beautiful and meant to be secluded. If you want paved sidewalks, flat easy roads and WIFI, then this is not the place. If you want a mountain view, walking trails, nature in all her glory then this is the place. So peaceful!
Chevin has worked with many people in the area and she had several recommendations for vendors to make the weekend complete. We really liked Jean from Apple Blossom for the flowers, Jenny from Frommage, for the rehearsal dinner, Carlton for bartending, Honeybrook catering, for the reception dinner, DJ connections, Giselle from Luna Rose Events, and last but not least Karen who helped both Chevin and Giselle. It takes a village!
It has been just over two months and we are still so impressed by the level of care and support we received the entire weekend. You will not be disappointed if you select Splendor Mountain for your wedding venue.

We had our wedding November 9, 2019 and it could not have been more PERFECT. The owners were always so welcoming and always willing to help in the months leading up to the big day. We did the weekend package and would 100% recommend doing so, you are able to have the rehearsal dinner there, we even decided last minute that we wanted to have a fire up on the very top of the mountain at the fire pit and they did it with no questions asked! The bridal party stayed in the two cabins Friday night, wedding was Saturday and they along with their plus ones were able to stay Saturday after the reception. It was the perfect size, plenty of room and loved the woods/cabin feel. The honeymoon suite was just the perfect size for what we needed and nice and secluded so we woke up and walked outside, hearing the water running from the creek and was a great way to wake up the morning after. We can't say enough wonderful things about Splendor Mountain, it truly made our day so special!

My family and I have enjoyed our multiple visits to Splendor Mountain over the years. The whole property is beautiful, the accommodations are very comfortable and beautifully put together. The owner carved this magnificent facility out of a mountainside and makes it available for individuals, small and large groups, weddings and events. A few years ago I brought a retreat group up for a long weekend and it all ran flawlessly. I love walking in the woods, meditating as I walk the labyrinth, star gazing at night.
I highly recommend Splendor Mountain for your next North Georgia sojourn. It's not a hotel, it's a destination of its own.

I cannot recommend Splendor Mountain enough. Chevin was an absolute dream to work with and so helpful. She is gracious and truly cares about her clients. We had our wedding here in September of this year, and the property honestly feels like paradise. It is beyond stunning, and the cabins we stayed in were so cute and spacious! Chevin was incredible from the moment I called to inquire about the venue all the way to telling her goodbye after our wedding. If you are looking for a beautiful venue with plenty of backdrops to choose from, this is the place. I loved it so much. So many locations for pictures no matter what the occasion is. Downtown Clayton is not a far drive at all if you are looking for some good restaurants and coffee shops. We loved our experience here!
