If you are looking for a place to disconnect from the busy city life this is the spot. No TV and no cell phone reception inside the Adobe home was just what we needed. Dont get me wrong there is cell phone reception in the property just harder inside the home. night sky was beautiful. Home cooked breakfast. What else can you ask for. Hosts Mary Jane and Tom are a pleasure to talk to. Big place to walk around and the creek running next to it makes it for a beautiful walk. Glad we found this place.

Patagonia is a nice place--especially to see hummingbirds. I was able to see the farm animals when I was there, which was nice; however, it was the very hot time of year during my stay, and they didn't have individual air conditioners. I was very uncomfortable in the heat, so they must have had central air. I turned the temperature down in order to be able to sleep and was yelled at for doing so. Not good.

I traveled to Patagonia to do some gravel bike riding, which didn't quite work out and is another story, but the Spirit Tree was the highlight. My disappointment at my equipment failure was tempered by Mary Jane's friendly and attentive hosting, and Tom's breakfasts. It's a big rustic place, and I was impressed by the energy with which Mary Jane keeps the place up. Excellent location to get away, relax, and bird watch. Nearby Patagonia Lake was a nice place to spend the day. Highly recommended.

My stay could not have been nicer. Mary Jane and Tom took care in addressing any need I had, and were a delight to talk to. The natural setting was also great, and it was fun yo take walks or sit on the porch with its active birds feeders. Breakfasts delicious.

For the third year in a row, my wife and I spent our wedding anniversary (#32, 33, 34) at Spirit Tree Inn B & B. Needless to say, we love it there. The staff are friendly and very knowledgeable about the area. We're not "birders", but birds are in abundance and a delight! The rooms are comfortable...we especially like the "Homestead House" with its coffee maker, microwave and fridge. Every meal we have had there, including special anniversary dinners, have been delicious. This truly is a special place.

I hate to leave negative reviews, but I would not recommend this property to anyone. The property is obviously neglected with rusted machinery, bbq pits and chairs laying about. The patio, which is a wonderful space, is full of weeds. When we walked into the inn the smell was overpowering. It smelled like a basement or a house that hadn't been opened in ages. All the drapes were closed and the inside was dark and dingy. As soon as we arrived we were told not to use the water, that the WiFi didn't work, and not to touch the lamps in the living area since they were all on timers. The toilet and bathtub were orange, it's obvious the pipes have rusted. There was also a faint sewage smell coming from our toilet. The first day the breakfast was so salty we couldn't eat it. Also, the hosts were constantly sniping at each other. It is remote and peaceful, but I'd trade that for being able to breathe.

My favorite vacation spot. Meagan and I spent a few days there for Thanksgiving break. Actually, she proposed to me there!!! So filled with great memories. MaryJane is one of the kindest and most genuine women I have ever known and we both miss her very much. We moved to Missouri just a few weeks after visiting. Tom her roommate is an out standing chef and made the Thanksgiving day meal which was incredible and in the morning made these amazing bluecorn flour pancakes with prickly pear syrup. He is really funny and tells the best stories! Haha. The house is gorgeous inside and is much bigger than at first glance, and it sits beside a massive Spirit Tree, which makes you feel connected to the place and the land. Truly nothing like it. On property there is a donkey and a horse which MaryJane has been taking care of for years. They were both very kind and let us feed them! Also, there were two cats that caused mischief and followed us everywhere. We stayed in the "Library" a room which was beautiful and decorated with tons of books and two beds. Luckily it was raining very hard and we ended up getting rained in, so we had time to gander at the shelves and find some great reading material! I spent some time reading my Bible next to the antique fire place as dolls of native American art and folklore posed around me. The feeling of love in the house was absolutely palpable. Tom has tons of old collectibles and he knows the history behind all the items which is really funny if he gives you an interesting tour of his collection. They have an old priest confessional right in the front lobby which was very beautiful and almost unnoticeable at first, surprising considering it's bulk and stature. All in all, we both miss the Spirit Tree Inn and more than anything we miss the memories shared with such good people. We accompanied the space with another couple and we sat outside around a ? with them and shared a few drinks. Only negative about the whole trip is that the coffee was a bit light for my liking although I still drank cup after cup of it. Please take my honest word for it and come visit these beautiful people and their bed and breakfast. You won't be disappointed. Don't forget to check out the old Mennonite built barn out to the side of the property, and say hi to the two cats for us! MaryJane and Tom if you're reading this, we both miss you so much and can't thank you enough for helping us start our lives together! We hope to come visit again soon! Much love and well wishes. Joseph and Meagan.

Very nice place to stay. The couple that runs it are extremely friendly and helpful. Rooms were comfortable and the little spot it's located in is paradise. Honestly the greenest place I've seen in AZ. Lots of wildlife, easy access to trails, and just a few minutes from town. Will absolutely look here first whenever I stay in the area. Breakfast is stellar, I really enjoyed the food and the conversations with the owners!
