When it comes to fishing the dam, this place has the best location. The motel is rustic but has the basics. A fridge, TV and microwave. The staff will try to help with any concerns. But don't come to this place thinking it's going to be a 5 star motel. The room could be a little cleaner but wasn't an issue really. The beds, sheets, towels, shower, fridge and microwave were all clean. Would I stay here again, definitely yes.

My fiancé and his friend stayed there and I know they won’t say anything because they didn’t expect this place to be good anyway, they are just there to fish but I will definitely say something because I am disgusted. I don’t care how cheap this place is but this is definitely unacceptable and disgusting to me, urine stain and a dead bug under the sheets. After reading some of the reviews, the person responding to some of these seem to not care very much to fix the problems that these people encountered while staying at their motel. Disgusting and do better.

Looks like they just replaced the furniture, looked nice . The room was clean but older . Had a nice quiet stay . The young lady at front desk was pleasant and very helpful. Onsite bait shop with minnows is a plus. I ran a motel , I know how disrespectful people can be but it hasn’t seemed to bother them.

I was apprehensive about staying here, reading previous reviews. I rarely take the time to review, but felt it was needed. Our stay was in Late June 2023. Quiet, comfortable. No bugs. Walking distance to bank fish. There was also a spot to put in a small boat canoe or kayak. Owners were pleasant. It needs updated but our stay was to fish locally before a wedding.

Location to the lake is the best thing I can say about this motel. Room was not ready/cleaned at check in time which was suppose to be 2 p.m. (son arrived at 2:40 to check in) when my son returned to his room after boating all day, the bathroom had not been cleaned and toilet and shower was so nasty he came back to our boat to shower. $70 doesn't get you a clean bathroom? in today's world with all the germs etc a clean bathroom should be top priority for any motel. Will never book there again since the Spillway chose not to do anything about it.

This is a great family owned and operated motel. Everyone is extremely friendly and makes you feel welcome. The rooms are clean and spacious. This past visit we stayed in the suite. Absolutely beautiful and a surprisingly extra large hot tub in the living area. Spent my nights in there after longs day of fishing. I will continue to come back to visit...

I've stayed at this motel for the last 15 years and this will be the last time. It's has become so run down since the new owners have taken over. It really seems like an apartment complex for low rent people. Almost impossible to sleep at night because all the non English speaking people yelling , screaming and singing outside. I wouldn't care if it was before let's say 10 but it's after 11 and it's impossible to sleep w all the noise. Also there is just trash and junk everywhere outside. You have been warned. I'd rather sleep in my truck in a parking lot than stay here again.

I love to stay at this place. Its the best place to stay if u wanna catch some good fish in the river great people and a great place overall.
