Spavia Pleasant Hill is absolutely amazing. What a wonderful experience. The best 1-hour massage ever, including massages that I’ve had at resorts.

Love the vibe both inside and out. The service was exceptional, from the time my wife and I walked-in.

From the front desk personnel to our masseuse. They’re on point. Highly recommend.

I’ve been going here for a little over a year now, and I would recommend for a little treat yourself moment or a gift! The staff is always friendly, the space is very clean, and they have great products. I have loved every single facial service, and I’ve tried just about all of them. I have had a couple massages, and they are decent, but I feel like you have to try out different therapists to see who is best for you. I’m not sure I’ll keep my membership forever, but I will still come back for treatments!

I had a massage with Spavia for the first time yesterday. The people were friendly. The robes were so comfy and the slippers fit well. The massage was good. The masseuse responded quickly to my feedback. ... My major problem was the smells. I'd mentioned in my preferences that I was sensitive to smells. When I opened the front door to go inside, I was hit with very strong smells. I'm sure most people associate those smells with spas, but I quickly developed a headache (I can't walk through the perfume/makeup section of stores without holding my breath. There are many stores I cannot enter because of incense or other smells). I put on a mask which helped, but the headache was already there. Both the changing room and the waiting room were heavily scented. Thankfully, the massage room itself did not have smells and the headache was gone within half an hour. ... I would return if not for the smells. It seems like a very relaxing place.

I came in with a friend for a direly needed facial - it was the only place we could find an appointment that last minute. When we came in we were greeted by a few of the staff, all of whom were very nice. We were asked to fill in some paperwork about what we wanted - there’s not really a special seating area to do this, so it’s a bit uncomfortable and we had to do it standing in the corner near all the products. I would have rather done it online ahead of time if that was going to be the case.

We went in for the facial to a small locker room area to change into robes. There wasn’t an area to change privately unless using the restroom, but I find changing in restrooms a bit gross. The robes were nice and we were provided access to a sitting area which was small and dark but comfortable for two. I’m not sure what we would have done if there was another person. They had warmed neck pillows to use while waiting. We went into separate facials and started treatment. They gave me a huge robe which had no elastic and kept falling, I think it was just old and needed to be retired. I was surprised that when I told my clinician about it, she didn’t get me another one.

Overall, the facial was just ok. I was more annoyed that although they specifically asked on the form if we wanted to talk, my clinician ignored it and spoke to me the entire time, I really wanted to relax and zone out but I felt rude not responding. The facial didn’t really feel thorough enough. I liked that most of it was massaging which was nice, but I came in to have my face really glow afterwards and treat certain issues, but I had limited extraction and no exfoliation. I felt like I paid for someone to clean my face and later on some serums and lotion.

Afterwards, I believe the bill was about $180 or more. I was offered a ton of products and a membership service, but I was never asked if I enjoyed the service! I felt obligated to tip 25% but I really didn’t think it merited that. I probably will try other places, I’ve had great facials before and I know I can find them again.

The owner Kristy is very rude. I have been a memeber for over 2 years. When she is the one to answer the phone or check me in I am not greeted with a smile. When I make an appointment she tries to push a male therapist and as I gently remider her thats not what im comfortable with, she questions me as to why and pushes the issues rather then respct my needs.
They are closed on Tuesdays. I made multiple attempts on a Tuesday to leave messages and sent an en email trying to notify the staff that my son came home from preschool with HFM disease. I did the right thing to avoid coming in and contaminating the business and the staff. However, when they opened on Wednesday, she claimed I did not call and with an argument via the phone call, she still charged me. A no show late cancelation fee, I understand a therapist still needs to make money. But as a business owner, you have to take those responsibilities. It is not your customers that have to pay out-of-pocket. Especially when I tried to do the right thing and called multiple times. The remaining staff is very kind and very sweet and the female therapist are amazing.
Edit to add: owners repsonse in being petty and attacking my chatacter and putting personal business to the public is tacky. Her response is unprofessional and completely shows what customer service is like at the spa dealing with her. There must be cameras in the relaxation room after her qouting a conversation I had with another guest.

Great location, easy parking. I love the robes, slippers and tea while waiting for my massage in the tranquil waiting room. And, Jason is the BEST for working out those deep tissue knots! Monthly visits are a MUST.

I am SO impressed with my experience at Spavia! I had initially called Spavia (very last minute) to desperately schedule an appointment for a massage as I was experiencing back pain from my pregnancy. While there weren't any immediate appointments, he assured me he would follow up if there were any cancellations. And that's exactly what he did! I was able to have a massage with Yan and she was absolutely amazing! I enjoyed my experience from the moment I walked into the door! The Spa itself is very relaxing, clean, and calming. Yan was absolutely fantastic and made sure I was comfortable. She had a pregnancy pillow to help give my belly the support I needed and also elevated the table as needed to ensure I was in a comfortable and safe position. She was so sweet and caring and it was exactly what I needed for a little self care during my third trimester. I am already on the books for next month and can't wait. Thank you Booker and Yan for making this truly a wonderful experience!!

I got an 80 min pregnancy massage and while the massage itself was OK (although not the best), the little details were lacking big time. Starting at the beginning...

- Had to fill out the preferences form for music, fragrances, etc 2x. Once when booking through spafinder and again when they emailed to confirm the appt. I did appreciate that they have fragrance sprays to test upon arrival but didn't have time to actually try them out b/c I had to fill out another waiver form and then was escorted back.

- 1 hour before my appt I got 3 emails within 1 minute first to confirm my time, then changing my time to later by 10 min, and updating back to the original time. I only got one text message saying it had been moved to later, which was the time started, but it ended 10 min earlier based on the original booking.

- I had a lower locker that was hard to bend over and get into due to being in my 3rd trimester. I'm avg size, and with my belly protruding (7.5 months), I felt like the robe barely fit and I had to pull at it aggressively when sitting to not to expose myself. Why not have larger sizes available?

- Lighting in the relaxation room and in the massage room was too bright. Due to having to lie on my side for the massage I had to directly face the light in the room and either stare at the floor or close my eyes. Was surprised an eye mask wasn't offered.

- Additionally the massage table itself felt very narrow and I was scared to move too much to get situated as I was worried I'd roll right off. And the head pillow used would have been better to be more of an ergo foam pillow that actually gave the neck support so I didn't end up with my neck in a weird chicken wing angle for so long.

- Disappointed that when I mentioned having pregnancy arthritis in my hands while the masseuse was working my arms they didn't actually take the note to massage my hands. I always thought hands were part of a full body massage so surprised this was completely skipped. Was hoping they might come back to it at the end but didn't and by then I was just ready to get out of there.

- This was the first time I felt like I needed to have underwear on in a massage b/c I felt very exposed and was nervous how close hands were getting to certain areas.

- Occasionally felt like the masseuse was just resting an arm on me (no pressure) / taking a break. I've never had that experience before so it stood out as odd.
