My first time staying with the Hilton brand. For the price, I booked the room. Overall, the room was clean and very spacious. However, no hot water inside room, toilet runs all night, and it was no facial towels inside the room. I asked for a wake up for 5:45 didn’t receive it until 6:03 (I was already up). Breakfast was ehhhh, no hot food at all. The best part of the hotel was my balcony and the indoor pool.

My husband and I stayed at the Hilton Colonnade Spark hotel in Birmingham recently for 2 nights. This hotel opened on 4/1/25. What a total DISAPPOINTMENT. It was TERRIBLE! The room had a large, open vent hole in the bathroom ceiling. There was no working light in the bathroom. The smell in the room was horrendous! There was no soap of any kind in the bathroom. The room was dirty. The mattress on the bed was extremely old, sagging and uncomfortable. There was no chair/sofa in the room. The ice machine didn’t work. We were told this place was a former Sonesta Hotel. A very poor job was done to update this obviously old hotel. We are Hilton Honors members. Please Do not stay there!!!
However; the staff was very nice and helpful.
The Hilton organization should be ashamed to include this dump as one of their own.

The location is peaceful and away from everything. I was prepared to give 3 stars before I pulled back the sheets and saw they are dirty and have hairs on them. I agree with other reviews about the mattress which the owner replied is new. If it's new they need to ask for a refund as it squeaks. The air conditioner is nosey and seems to want to give up. This remodel is a total fail. It smells in here. Holes in furniture. Paint on the patio door. The room has the bare minimum especially when compared to modern hotels today. Outlets on one side of the room only. Holes in the ironing board. Just be honest when you present your hotel. Your advertising is misleading and that is not acceptable and please dont bother replying with one of the sarcastic excuse replies I've seen here. The dirty sheets are just non negotiable!

Worst hotel ever! DO NOT book here. Renovations It’s all fake - worst hotel ever!!! There is a reason they don’t show pics of the bathrooms. Had to move from first room because it looks like a brawl had occurred with holes in walls, bathroom shower rod broken, and more. 2nd room was no better - toilet never worked and had to plunge it to use it each time. Air conditioner made so much noise we thought it was falling off the wall. AND So much marijuana smell our eyes burned. In the hall the ceiling tiles falling out. See pics -

We actually arrived and opened the door to our room and someone else was in the room. That was awkward and could have been much worse than it was. They were helpful and quick to fix the situation. Very basic hotel, but that’s what you get at this price. You can tell they have been doing renovations and the carpet and all floors are new. The bathrooms could use some work and the breakfast was as basic as it comes. We didn’t use the pool but it looked nice.

I don’t usually leave reviews, but I learned this hotel just opened. I had to switch rooms because the hot water wasn’t working. My toilet wouldn’t flush. Even though they were going under construction, you could tell they have bought out another old hotel. Trash was overflowing by the ice machine. Probably one of my worst hotel stays.

Positive: The bed was soft. Negative: Hotel under heavy remodeling. NO amenities open. Furniture in room all cheapest particleboard. Temperature in room varied wildly overnight. Room not serviced any day of 3-night stay. Definitely not a 3-star hotel while remodeling is going on.

Front desk personal were awesome. Overall looks like a new remodel that was rushed; paint, caulk, and grout all over from spills and drips. Half the outlets didn't work. Breakfast was extremely limited and not great. Very overpriced for what we got.
