Tasty food that was well seasoned and presented. Service was a little slow, but the great pork chops and hamburger steak made up for it. The mac and cheese was creamy and seasoned to perfection. Location is easy to get to from most parts of NW/GA or NE/AL. Would definitely return.

Tonight we had the fried green tomatoes, of course. They are in our top 5 of the BEST fried green tomatoes. There were plenty of them also.
I had the chicken salad it was a massive amount of food. It was great!
J had the chili corn pone. It too was a mound of food. It was good. It reminded him of a dish he used to get at Log Cabin Deli in Mentone.
On the way out, we grabbed a cinnamon roll for later.
The fried green tomatoes were the best part of our meal.
It’s worth a stop!

Going into Southern Harvest, I expected subpar food at best. Upon writing this review, I am quite literally overwhelmed by the flavor and quality of the food here! The speed of food-to-table service was okay, but we did have to reorder due to being out of a few food items because of a large group the day before. I ended up ordering a Philly Cheesesteak which was a near perfect Cheesesteak. The flavor and texture was overwhelmingly delicious! Other than needing some more salt, the fries were also near perfect! The fried green tomatoes are one of the best food items I’ve tried, period. Overall, from the flavor, the quality, and the freshness of all the food, this is a must stop on your road trip! You will not be disappointed!

To go order on phone went well! Food was ready for pick up at appointed time. Food was exquisitely prepared with great presentation and flavor triggering expertise. Could easily be said the most flavorful food on the edge of Lookout Mountain. If your passing through come enjoy a meal at the southern harvest. The only con was no napkins with takeout order. So the blackberry iced tea and homemade style fries secured the five stars with this visit. Great food and service. Pictured is The Reuben and the blackened chicken Philly cheese sandwich es.

Food was absolutely delicious. I ate the Philly cheesesteak and it was amazing. Fried green tomatoes were also extremely good. Very flavorful. Slightly slower service but they are nice and accommodating. Definitely a place to stop on your trip!

Food is ALWAYS amazing! The music that was playing was a bit loud, but otherwise no complaints. Everything they have on the menu is AMAZING. We’ve never had anything we don’t love.

After leaving a funeral in Fort Payne, thankfully we passed by Southern Harvest and stopped. We were blown away by the menu and how delicious the food looked. I got a chicken Philly sandwich and my husband got a burger and we started with fried green tomatoes. Everything tasted amazing and I cannot wait to go back and try dinner! This restaurant is a gem and I would travel back just to eat here!

This cozy place prepared delicious fresh made meals and baked goods. They are warm and inviting and desire to offer a good overall experience. I had the portable mushroom burger with beer battered onion rings, Yummmm and mixed beans which were pinto & great northern. This was a great meal for me a Blood Type A. Bud who is Blood type O had the hamburger steak and a salad no croutons or bread but he did have the onion rings and took his gluten ease and deflect for O’s. We will come back here when we visit The beautiful friendly town of Ft Payne Alabama.
