Southern Charm is such a hidden gem that my husband and I were fortunate enough to host our wedding at. Ruth is very gracious. We feel lucky to have hosted our special day here. The space is magical. Setting, decorations, and lighting are perfect. Space has an antique, vintage feel that provides such a comforting feeling. My husband and I would recommend the space to anyone. We would not change one single thing about our wedding here.

You could not ask for a more perfect place to have your wedding! The venue is gorgeous and the owners are truly amazing! Everything about this location is impressive and our guests raved about it! The degree of care placed into assisting us plan the day by the owners is unmatched. They paid attention to every detail and made us comfortable, treating us like family. They continually checked in with us throughout the evening- and never did we have a single concern. The grounds are as beautiful as the building itself. The detail of decor is one of a kind. We knew the minute we walked in that we had found the venue we wanted to celebrate in , and we didn’t look anywhere else. Pictures will not do this venue justice so I would strongly encourage you to see it person.

This post will be lengthy but well worth it. If you are in the south suburbs of Chicago and are looking for a venue that is different - PLEASE consider Southern Charm Venues!

We got engaged in December of 2020. When it came to looking at venues in January 2021, we were limited with where we could book due to guest capacity at that time. We found a venue, put our deposit down, and moved forward. In August of 2022 - 42 days before our wedding - things transpired with our previous venue. I desperately called South Charm Venues on a Tuesday night and left a message asking if they were available for Friday October 14, 2022. With being a post covid bride, I didn't have much hope.

The very next day, Ruth called me at 9am and informed me that while they had a wedding booked for Saturday October 15, they were available for Friday October 14. Through my emotions, I asked Ruth if we could meet with them and she set up a meeting for my fiance, parents and I to meet with the owners - Terri and Jerry.

When we arrived to the venue, Terri greeted us with the warmest smile at the door. When we walked in, we knew this place was it. There was immediate chemistry with Terri and Jerry and the venue was everything I wanted and more. I was kicking myself for not seeking them out first. This place is rustic yet elegant. Spacious and warm. We fell in love with not only the venue but with Terri, Jerry, and Ruth as well.

When the wedding day came, our guests were floored. They couldn't believe what they were experiencing in a barn. The entire evening, guests were walking around looking at every decoration, every detail, and were admiring the ambiance that SC holds. We even had people tell us that they were not expecting a venue like this. We were so happy that people loved SC as much as we did.

SC deserves all the recognition in the world. I've been trying to find the words for over a month now. And I truthfully can not find them because SC surpasses anything that I could write. If you choose Southern Charm, you will be working with the warmest humans on this planet. We wished that the entire wedding industry was like them. They allowed us to fulfill our vision, supported us when the train came off the tracks, and treated us as if we were family. I personally wish I could be there every day!

We have been married 5 weeks now, and people are still telling us that our wedding was one of the best that they have been to - all thanks to Southern Charm and the incredible people there. Please book SC for your special day! We promise, you will not regret it! - The Yorkmans 10.14.22

What an awesome and beautiful place! I had a Country Western Birthday party for my husband complete with a sit down dinner and a live band! It was the perfect location with lots of room for 100 guests. Terri was so helpful and worked with me all the way. I had so many compliments from our guests with several considering parties and weddings of their own. So happy how this event turned out and my husband had a great celebration. Definitely recommend Southern Charm Venues!

The best wedding venue I have been to in a long time! Beautiful and charming decor!! Super clean bathroom with supplies free for ladies. This place has the most delicious food I've ever tasted at a wedding reception. The grounds are so pretty, impeccably maintained We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves!! Can't say enough about how wonderful. A 10 out of 10

My wife and I just got married there this past Saturday. I really can’t say enough good things about Ruth and Jerry. They are very reasonably priced. If you want a barn style wedding this has it all. The decor is so charming, rustic and just perfect. The on line pictures do NOT do it justice! Our wedding was beautiful and we couldn’t be happier. Our guests were blown away with the venue. We opted to have Ruth act as our wedding coordinator and she was definitely the captain driving the ship! She was amazing ! We had Scramenties cater the wedding and again the staff was awesome and the food was delicious! Everyone there raved about southern charm. Jerry and Ruth did an amazing job and we can’t thank you enough for giving us our dream wedding.
