I was very pleasantly surprised with how this place exceeded my expectations compared to a visit from probably 15 years ago! My friends exclaimed that it was delicious and finally convinced me to come back here. It must be new ownership or something, because overall, everything was better. The food knocked it out of the park. The décor and furniture were all clean, and the service was speedy and polite. I had the breakfast called the haystack, and I’d call it a kitchen sink meal. Yum! I can’t wait to come back grab a meal, probably even the same meal if I’m honest!

Wonderful eatery with spectacular food. So glad we stopped here on a whim on our way to Napa. If you want something truly amazing, order the Crab omelet.... you will thank me later!!

This is a great stop before heading into the Napa valley to drink wine. The service is good. Note that this is a very popular place so arrive closer to the opening time. The longer they have been open the more busy. Every time I have been here I have enjoyed their food. If you're looking for 5 stars this is not it this is the mom-and-pop place with a good vibe and warm feelings.

Best breakfast I have, the chilaquiles are so good, the pancakes are so soft and good. The omelette are really good as well, the people are so friendly and kind overall this place is a 5 star?!!

Newly established place replacing the highway 29 diner from the yester years. They still kept the cozy ambiance of the original diner but with their own special touch. I especially love their plate-wide pancakes, and they kept the original recipe that gives it the nice springy chewy texture that doesn't get soggy from being soaked in syrup. Highly recommended ?

What a warm and friendly place. It was pretty busy but they got everyone seated quickly and the food came out fast and perfect. I had a French dip to which I added bacon and Swiss! It was perfect. I already made plans to come back next week.

I had another great meal. Home made corned beef and hash. Yummy?

Maybe the best kept secret in American Canyon.
I just Finished a wonderful lunch at the South Kelly Grill.
I come to American Canyon for work and have driven by here many of times however, this was the first time I stopped. I have to say I am sorry I have not eaten here before!!
I had the BLAT (Bacon Lettuce Avocado and Tomato) sandwich on sourdough with a bowl of Clam Chowder, and both was outstanding. They grilled the outside of the sourdough bread, I think in butter and perhaps a little Garlic. no matter how they did it, the sourdough had a nice crunch, and the sourness of the bread enhanced the flavor of the fresh contents. It was very tasty, and I will definitely order that again.
I think they must make their own Clam Chowder; it was one of the best I have ever had. Every bight had a large chunk of clam and the unmistakable flavor of a very good clam Chowder.
I will be looking forward to my next visit and I hope I will be back this way soon.
