We really liked our room at Sonesta. It was clean and comfortable. The kitchen was great! There was a full-size refrigerator, stove top, microwave, dishwasher, dishes, utensils, glasses and cups, pots and 1 pan. We had a queen size bed that was very comfortable. We had reserved a studio room, so we expected a couch in the living room, but there was another bed. For 1 night it wasn't a problem, but if we stay longer next time, we will make sure we get a couch or at least 2 chairs instead of the extra bed. The employees were friendly and helpful.

Not fancy, but big, comfortable rooms with kitchenettes so a few days stay is much more relaxing than a four-walls-and-a-bed typical room. There's no pool, but there is a patio area with grilles and it's in a very quiet area. We love this section of town, but be aware that there is a LOT of traffic between the bypass and the hotel. Back to the hotel, staff is always very friendly and accommodating, and we have never had a complaint about the cleanliness of the room. It's a pet-friendly hotel as well, so if you're traveling with a furry companion, this may be a great option!

For the price of this place, it is great. The interior hallways don't look very great, but the rooms are nice, and I like the layout which is a bit different than most hotels and roomy. Everything in the room is very clean and the bed was comfy. The staff is extremely nice and very willing to work with customer needs. Ultimately I had a really good experience here, I'll definitely be back.

Probably one of the oldest hotels in the chain - it was clearly showing its age. But it was clean and we had nothing negative to note. Front desk staff we dealt with were all very friendly and helpful. They were having a computer problem when we checked in and handled the check-in process as best they could. But we were not in any rush.||||Rooms were much like others in the chain, maybe a slightly different layout. But everything we needed was there, everything worked and everything was clean. I would not hesitate staying here again if I was in the area and would have no difficulty recommending it to others.

It's very small details that pushes me to a 4* vs 5*. The room is absolutely perfect and beyond expectations. You could live here... Almost a full kitchen in every room with a large home fridge, microwave, 2 hot plate stove, plates, cups and a coffee maker. You can even check out a waffle maker and other goodies in the lobby. The desk area is huge, there's a recliner and the bed is super comfy! We also found the room to be quiet and the hotel is in the perfect area passed the worst part of 280. So why 4*?

Rooms are serviced once every 7 days. Not having the bed made isn't a big deal for me, but - no towel turnover, coffee refills? Naah... not good. In fairness, maybe they replenish the coffee on request?

I can't get over how great the room is. Wow! Compared to other hotels on the 280 corridor, this is truly the bargain hidden gem.

We stayed 3 nights at the end of our 12 day road trip. Good check in. Nice room w/full size refrigerator Free washer/dryer. Gym right next to laundry. Everything very pleasant. Very quiet. Will return if in area.

We recently stayed at this location for a one-night stay. The front desk staff was VERY helpful when we asked to be relocated from the 2nd floor. They were so accomodating. The area is very quiet and we had a very pleasant stay. You are close to plenty of places to eat, shop. However, this is NOT on Hwy 31 in Hoover/Vestavia Hills area. It's off of Hwy 280. If you are looking for something close to downtown, this would not be a good option. The room was very clean and comfortable. Bathroom was clean and plenty of thick towels were provided. Overall, we were very pleased!

Very reasonably priced. Well kept. When I came in the hotel smelled like fresh laundry and the employees were very nice and helpful. It's an extended stay so you do have a kitchenette, which is upgraded so you do have a very modern touch throughout the room. I've been here for 1 week and no complaints thus far
