The airport shuttle drivers were the nicest guys ever even if pickup from SFO was a bit over 20 min from the call. The room is maybe dated in style but was clean and comfortable. Balcony was a nice perk. We did get a King and Sofa not 2 Queens as requested but it was only for one night. This hotel seems to cater to dog owners.

We spent 5 nights at the Sonesta Select Oyster Point hotel. Hotel has recently been renovated, very nice rooms with a small couch in the room, nice to have sitting options. Our room had a small balcony overlooking the water. Friendly and helpful staff. Very peaceful location, with no homeless camped out anywhere. We walked the new pathway / trail that runs along the water. Very nice safe walk.
Definitely a nice budget friendly choice. I would not have a problem staying again at this hotel.

This could have been a great hotel stay. When we were checking in the man at the front desk let us know that this room was newly renovated, but unfortunately, room 210 smelled awful and it was because the carpet was filthy and needed a good shampooing and there was little to no air flow in the room. I think they are a pet friendly hotel, because our room stunk of dog. My husband and I were thinking, okay maybe we just need to air it out. But every time we came back to the room it seemed like the smell was stronger. In retrospect, we definitely should have requested a room change, but we really only used the room to sleep and get ready. Then, our assumptions turned out to be correct when we saw multiple large dogs coming in and out of the hotel. They really need to shampoo the carpets in the hotel or get rid of the carpet. I wish I had better things to stay about our stay…..it is a really quiet location.

This is actually a great location, wonderful staff, and beautiful views. The challenges are no options for food or dining other than door dash. The hotel is very clean and safe, and everything works as expected. I give it 3 stars mainly because of food options, and the hotel needs to be updated. Again, everything that's currently available is just fine. However, it's just time for a modernization and property improvement program to take place. Would I stay here again? Yes, without hesitation. I would be delighted. The staff and location are awesome!

Hotel manager was rude, confrontational and over all disrespectful. Let me explain, the hotel, grounds and staff were great. I left for breakfast and was back before 10, and asked for a late check out. When I got back , my tablet was gone, and they clearly had started cleaning it. Staff was helpful and concerned, let me know that no one should of been in there, they found my iPad, but the manager kept imply that it was my fault his staff entered my space, would not let me talk, and was condescending. I ask for compensation as my quiet enjoyment of the space was breached, I was up set, not able to do my work, or enjoy the space for the remainder of my stay. Although the other staff were understanding and considerate, He was very condescending, sassy and patronizings about the thing. He gave me a little discount, which is just fine for the mix up, but it did not make up for or warrant the disrespect.

On arrival there was no luggage cart. Our first room smelled of tobacco smoke and we asked to be moved. The elevator had a puddle of water in it. The second room we went to was missing a hair dryer and front desk clerks were unable to find one (probably our first room had one, did anyone think of it?!) When we checked in, breakfast hours and parking fees weren't disclosed. I never reviewed or confirmed my room rate on paper, only when I made the reservation ahead. Lousy service. The parking is not special enough to be $16 a day. It is an open lot not secure. Lastly my mobile service for GPS had many issues getting a signal in Oyster Point.

The Service was good The room was clean the only downside was the linens on the bed were old. The top sheet had a sheer almost hole in it and the comforter was thin dingy and looked like it had been patched.

Let’s start at the front desk. Gio is an absolute credit to Sonesta. This man is an employer’s dream. I’ve stayed at this location several times now on business from NYC. Every single time Gio makes me feel like I have a friend in San Francisco even though I’m 2,500 miles from home. I purposely ask my employer to book Sonesta just because of him.

South SF/ San Bruno area can be a sketchy place. Luckily the geographic location of this hotel safeguards it from potential hazards. Nestled next to Oyster Bay a balcony view provides a scenic escape from a bustling city. Rooms are clean and I’ve never had any issues whatsoever. This hotel is a sleeper, literally.
