Overall felt a bit cheap, overpaid for what I got.
Bad: Provided shampoo literally smelled rotten. Corner of the room smelled like mold. Neighboring room was loud until midnight. Parking $7 per day.
Good: fridge in room, allows dogs ($75 per stay), microwave available for use in lobby, safe area with food walkable distance.

I had the worst experience I've ever had at a hotel in a long time.
I wasn't able to sleep because of the heating and cooling system. I called the front desk and didn't get a response. The unit sounded like it was an aircraft getting ready to take off. Rm 320 I don't want to sleep in that room every again. I was cold 🥶 all night because the heat never kicked in. I'm anemic and I have to be warm the only way to stay warm was to get back in the shower but to be back in a cold room. Also the noise from the street on the street side was awful. I heard sirens all night long. And now they are charging for parking that's robbery my car is warmer than your rooms. I hope the money is going towards improvements. I wish able to get a refund for my stay or at least a discount. I've stayed here because and I wasn't as disappointed as I had been this time around.

I SHOULD READ THE REVIEW BEFORE.
POOR MANAGEMENT.
This is second time we stay here. We stayed on Sunday oct 6, walk-in at 7pm. Asked for pet room and come out total $177. We unloaded our stuff and checked the room was clean, so I went to front desk and mention I want to stay 1 more night (monday). The staff said okay and I have to talk to morning shift front desk tomorrow.
At 10.15 am we plan to see my family and stop by to front desk and tell him that I need 1 more night stay. He said NO, we can't stay 1 more night because of fully booked by a month ago. The night front desk didn't say anything about fully booked. We have to get OUT at 11 (we only have 40 minutes).
We get upset 😡 they have to say something that they can't take my request to stay another night so I can find out other places.
The guy name JAY, no say sorry, no apologize, you guys have to leave NOW check out 11AM.
SO DAM CUSTOMER SERVICE.
We checked out before 11 and asked to print my bill. He said "you have a dog, we have to charge pet fee $75".
So they charge me $177 and $85.65 for pet fee.
So POOR MANAGEMENT, at night bill me $177 (pet fee included) and morning said I have to pay pet fee $85.65 not included.
SO DAM POOR MANAGEMENT.
One more thing, this escalator permit was expired 2 years (Sept 24, 2022)

We came with my husband for a work trip. I am pregnant, and we have a 2 year old, and a 16 year old tiny dog.
The rooms are surprisingly small in comparison to other hotels we’ve stayed in. There’s a bed, a little couch, and a desk. But overall it’s very cozy small.
The front desk staff has been great, always kind and punctual.
There isn’t regular servicing of the rooms w/o requesting it. Sometimes that’s good, but I constantly have had to ask multiple times to get tp, towels, garbage replacement, etc.
I think the best part of our experience has been just the fact that the staff is kind and the hotel is near a shopping center with food options.
The worst part of our stay has been our god awful noisy “neighbors”. People blasting music at 2am, dogs barking (not our old man), marijuana smell in the hallway now and again, etc etc.

This is a great little hotel. Clean, people were very nice, we have stayed here before and it's always been a pleasant stay. Got a nice weight room. Some of the rooms Have balconies and. nice bath tubs. A little bit tight on the parking. If you have a big truck like mine, the coffee shop is not always open which I wish it was, but overall we had a great stay.

Returned to the hotel from work around midnight, jet lagged, 6 months pregnant and experiencing severe sickness. My key didn’t work when I got back to the room. I went to the reception to get it sorted and Natalia (this was early hours of 10th October) on the front desk wouldn’t let me back into my room because there was apparently a $10 charge (for which I’d already paid $20 in cash) for house keeping bringing me 2 bottles of water 2 nights prior, as I was experiencing severe sickness and unable to leave my room.
I was very upset, feeling so sick and desperately needing to get to my room but she just smirked at me continuously (whilst I was crying) and refused to fix my key. It took her 30 mins to finally let me back into my room as she would not (and still doesn’t) believe me that I’d paid for the drinks. She accused me of lying and said that the house keeper would have brought the money straight back - he didn’t.
She seemed to take much delight in exercising her authority in this situation. Not only the most unpleasant hotel staff encounter I have ever experienced, but I think she may have been the most unpleasant person I have ever encountered.

Edit: the man on the desk this morning (10th October) was very nice and said that should never have happened - I should not have been prevented from getting to my room. I saw the housekeeper I gave the money to and he apologised for not giving it to reception and has informed the front desk. I’m still very upset with how I was treated by Natalia and would like to speak with the manager to submit a formal complaint.

Really pleased with the experience I’ve had here over an extended stay. Only thing I think could be better is the breakfast offering/food area. If they could make a continental breakfast an option that would go a long way.

Was asked to pay a pet fee of $150 for 2 dogs for a 1 night stay when the website specifically says $75. False advertising.

"Sonesta hotels are pet-friendlyand welcome well-mannered pets, with no breed or weight restrictions. Up to two pets are permitted per room or suite.

At Royal Sonesta, Sonesta Hotels & Resorts, Sonesta Essential, and Sonesta Select, a fee of $75 USD per stay applies. At Sonesta ES Suites and Sonesta Simply Suites, a fee of $75 USD one-time charge for stays up to 7 nights, and $150 USD for longer stays."
