Snowy Elk Coffee Company boasts locally roasted beans, and to be fair, the quality of the roast itself is quite good. However, my overall experience left me disappointed.
The issue are the pricing and lack of sampling. The beans are overpriced compared to other local roasters offering similar quality. While I appreciate supporting local businesses, the value proposition simply wasn't there.
Furthermore, the customer service was lacking. I found the staff to be unhelpful and somewhat dismissive. A key point of frustration was their refusal to offer samples. They have the capacity to provide samples of their various roasts, which would be a huge asset to potential customers. When I inquired about trying a sample, I was met with a negative response. This is a significant oversight, as sampling would undoubtedly increase sales and customer satisfaction. How can one justify a premium price without tasting the product first?
Ultimately, I left the store feeling quite let down, which unfortunately tainted my perception of the otherwise decent roasted beans. While the coffee itself has potential, the high prices and poor customer service make it difficult to recommend Snowy Elk Coffee Company. I sincerely hope they address these issues, especially the sampling policy, to improve the customer experience. I would really like to go back.

Great quality!! If you love coffee like I do, you will not get your coffee from another place. Staff is super friendly and attentive. The best part is how good the coffee is, whether whole beans, grinded, or a drink directly from their coffee bar. It is all good.

Stopped in to get some beans! As I opened the door the smell of freshly roasted coffee wafted out....omg I just love that smell. Got greeted right away, They were roasting a specialty order, and let us peek in! I got a 5lb bag of my favorite...The Angler! Thank you again for showing us around. will be back!

First time tasting this freshly roasted coffee bean. Bought a bag of whole beans dark roast the angler. Delicious. My husband and I both enjoyed it. He drinks it black. Will definitely buy it again.

Snowy Elk Coffee is by far my favorite coffee brand. They have a great variety to choose from, and its all very high quality roasted right here in Cheyenne. I no longer live in Cheyenne but I still buy Snowy Elk Coffee online and have it shipped to me. My favorite coffee here is The Angler. You wont be disappointed! Always great to support a small locally owned business! The owners Scott and Julie are amazing. Thank you for the wonderful coffee!

I live in Ohio now and miss good coffee. It is like a desert out here. So, when Julie and Scott started packing their beans in 5 pound bags we were so on it. Just got our shipment of 6- 5 pound bags. That should last us until we can get back to coffee country and stock up. I adore Snowy Elk coffee. The best in the west!!! Our French press is pirouetting in our kitchen. Nothing compares to U Snowy Elk Coffee.

Great tasting coffee!!! Edited to add: Three years later and I haven't found a single competitor to the flavor and texture of Snowy Elk. Any flavor, any temperature - this coffee is ENJOYABLE. Thank you for dedicating your product to quality - Snowy Elk Coffee is outstanding. As a wife and mom who is NOT a morning person, yet gets up before everyone to prepare breakfast and have quiet time - thank you for giving me the gift of delicious coffee. Without a doubt the best coffee you can buy to make at home. My favorite roast is Campfire. I really like the smoky flavor of it. I am also enjoying the limited time roast Tanzanian. It has a wonderful fruity and nutty flavor. I wish they could keep it permanently but I will just enjoy it while it is here.

I am really glad that we are blessed enough to have such a wonderful local roaster here in Cheyenne!!!
