Just Amazing!! We would have stayed longer if we could have… the entire team was great and words can’t describe how lovely the lighthouse was to stay in. We had a family of 6 and the four teens loved the bunk room. My family and I had THE BEST TIME and my wife and I plan to return for a secluded vaca away. We enjoyed the kayaks and saw many bald eagles up close, even a nest right behind the lighthouse. There was a grey whale nearby. We also grilled steaks one night and loved the fire pit, even during a rainy evening since it’s covered. Coffee every am on one of the porches… just incredible! Highly recommend!

Our week at the Sitka Lighthouse was wonderful! My husband and I came to Sitka for world class fishing and were not disappointed. Our guide picked us up right at our dock. The Lighthouse was relaxing and peaceful after a day of reeling in those salmon. You have the whole little island to yourself. We especially liked the hot tub. And the views, oh my! 360 degrees of natural beauty. The owner, Teal, was great, going above and beyond, attending to our every request. If you are looking for something private and a little different, treat yourself to the Lighthouse. You will delighted with your experience!

First off, this property has been completely renovated and under new management. Some of the reviews on trip advisor are reviewing the old property and are no longer relevant.||We stayed at the lighthouse 9 days in early May 2019. It was as advertised – amazing. A truly unique and beautiful place to stay with a degree of privacy you just can’t find anywhere else. The boat commute from town to the dock was quick and easy, and the outboard motor has an electric starter. The lighthouse itself has it all – a firepit and hot tub on the deck, a fully stocked kitchen, master bedroom, 4 bunk bedroom, and an observation floor on top with 360 views of the island and ocean. It has been fully redone and updated. We had the benefit of rain, so water was not an issue, but during a dry stint you might have to be careful about water usage; the water comes from a water catchment system.||We planned lots of activities in and around town, but some days just being on the island and in the lighthouse was all the entertainment we needed. Between the deck, the dock, the rocks and the swing outside, it was a mini kid-paradise.||Teal was great to work with – very responsive and no nonsense. Going above and beyond, she found and booked us a private King Salmon fishing charter last minute that was spectacular. Before we even left Sitka, the kids were asking when we'd be back.

We just got back last night from 3 days 2 nights at this newly refurbished Rockwell lighthouse. There was myself and my husband, and his sister and her husband. Four of us went there for an adventure filled weekend. When we got there, we canceled all of our plans and decided to enjoy the lighthouse and limit our time away from it. We barbecued and ate on the deck, we used the hot tub, we used the four kayaks… We just relaxed and had an amazing time. There was a Eagles nest right off the deck that we watched. We saw seals, see lions, doll porpoises… And probably 300 Eagles. The lighthouse is beautifully refurbished. And very inviting. The kitchen was stocked with so much food that the groceries we brought, half was not even necessary. It had everything from razors to mouthwash to toothpaste and curling iron‘s! There’s so many different areas of the lighthouse to just sit in and relax. We liked to sit in the very top and have cocktails and have a gorgeous 360° view of the amazing Sitka sound. Teal, the owner, goes out of her way to make you feel at home. Texting us throughout the days to make sure there wasn’t anything we needed. We loved it so much, that we contacted her within hours of leaving and booked it for next year already! |I really could go on and on… There’s baskets of blanket so you can sit outside and not get cold. There’s a few different decks… Like the small one with the round table and a rocking bench on it that we sat on in the morning for coffee. The main deck where the barbecue is has beautiful sunshine for dinner time. There’s many many windows in the lighthouse so if you’re inside due to rain or whatever, you still have great views.We were lucky enough to have two gorgeous days of perfect home sunshine… The day we left, it was raining but that did not matter we still had smiles on our faces. We used the skiff to go into town. And the water taxi was prompt and easy for us to get to and from with our luggage.

We had the most amazing time at the lighthouse. The house is a dream to stay in and Owners Teal and Mike treat you like family. We stayed a week here and had booked trips almost every day, but we could have just stayed and not left anywhere. If you want to take away you stress and have an amazing time with your family the lighthouse is the place!!!

Just got home a few days ago from 3days/2nights at the lighthouse. One of my best weekend getaways to date! The lighthouse is absolutely over-the-top. The house is decorated like something you would see in a magazine. The amenities are far too many to list. Teal, the owner, has thought of everything. The weather was gorgeous. We hot tubbed, barbecued, kayaked, took the skiff into town, Watched seals and sea lions, and Dall porpoises, there was a Eagles nest right next to the lighthouse which we watched all weekend. It was truly an amazing getaway. In fact, on the way to the airport I contacted the owner and booked it for three nights next year.

Our best vacation ever. It’s absolutely beautiful, the views, the customer service, the town is very pretty, but staying at the Lighthouse makes the experience unique. You have everything you need. Plus you get to see eagles, otters swimming by and the most beautiful sunsets. Love this place.

Awesome rustic getaway... just what you need when in Alaska. I couldn't have been happier!! The lighthouse was a spectacular place to stay! One night we got lucky and it rained, so my daughter and I climbed to the very top floor and slept with the rain and wind and 360 degree views. It was the best!!
