I cannot say enough positive things about this place. Checking in was a breeze- an online process that emphasized my privacy. The room was beautiful, the scenery was gorgeous, but most of all the staff went above and beyond to support me when my car broke down on my road trip. I never expected the level of service I received from this family... such a drastic difference from a corporate hotel experience! If you're looking to stay in oakhurt area, look no further! This is the place for you.

I wish I could give this place 10 stars!! The location is amazing, secluded and quiet and the outdoor area is beautiful, it's just a 30-40 minute drive to the park, the rooms are ADORABLE it's like your own little apartment with a kitchen, living room, bedroom(s), very clean, stocked with coffee, dishes/utensils and fridge, but above all I got the most superb customer service I've ever received in my life. My husband and I got married out there a couple weeks ago and my whole family stayed there and Brenda (host) and Val (cleaning/maintenance) went so above and beyond to accommodate us all, she made sure all of the rooms had everything that everyone needed, whenever we had any questions with planning the weekend beforehand we would call her and she was so incredibly helpful with EVERYTHING. She decorated our room adding some special touches for my husband and I. My wedding weekend/week was absolutely perfect and I truly have Brenda to thank for all of the advice and help she gave us while planning the weekend before we even got out there. Cannot say enough amazing things about her and this beautiful hidden gem!!!

Great place to stay for a Yosemite trip. It's about an hour and 20 minutes from the park. This place has a nice homie feel and cheaper than other hotels in the area. Staff was very friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay here again if I come back in the future.

My boyfriend and I decided to get out of crazy Manhattan and head for Yosemite. After some deliberating around where to stay, we found great reviews on Air B&B for this place. We did wonder whether we should try and get somewhere closer to Yosemite, but I’m sooo glad we didn’t stay anywhere else! ||We were lucky enough to spend a week in the Sunrise suite. It was perfect! There was an outdoor grill, decking area, table and chairs to enjoy a drink or two and some sun loungers where we spent some time reading and enjoying the perfect views. ||The drive to Yosemite is around 45 minutes, but it was actually great to pass through Oakhurst for what we needed for our hikes or for our evening meals (dining out or to buy stuff to cook on the grill). ||Even before arriving we had so much helpful information on where to eat, shop and great information on what there is to do around the lodge. Upon arrival there’s a TON of information on Yosemite and the surrounding areas. Brenda and Paul were so responsive to anything we needed and we felt we had total privacy and tranquility. ||I usually like to give constructive feedback, but I’m scratching my head here a little. Great place, great hosts and I hope that one day we will be back!

This place is great! Roomy and comfortable with everything you need to be at home while visiting Yosemite or anywhere else in the area. The grounds are lovely and the decks provide a wonderful vantage point to enjoy the view. Bar-b-q s are available for those who want to whip up some dinner. We would definitely stay here again. Good proximity to the north and south entrances to Yosemite, each with their own advantages.

What a great place to come back to after a visit to Yosemite!! Loved that we could relax and reflect on our days activities! Brenda and John are wonderful hosts and made us feel right at home. Full breakfast with lots of choices.||We stayed in the Sunrise room. Bed was very comfortable and nice luxurious linens!!||Upstairs and downstairs very roomy and clean. Wished we had more time to stay.||Would for sure visit again.||Ryan, their son was so nice to us. Came out and played his banjo for us, while we relaxed and enjoyed the beautiful view!!!

We stayed in two suites here with our parents, the rooms were great, clean and comfortable. Alas, we missed the morning breakfast which gets great reviews, because our stay was just a few days after their summer season when they no longer offer breakfast. This was a great location for us to take a day trip into Yosemite.

We booked a room through Airbnb for two nights of our vacation. Halfway through vacation, we realized we would be in the area longer, and booked another room (the first room we booked was not available the additional days). Within minutes, I had a response about my room request. Brenda worked with us to find a room we could stay in for all nights of our visit so we didn’t have to move around from room to room. ||When we got into our room, it was so adorable and well put-together. They thought of everything someone might need, and have made sure to accommodate those needs within the rooms. Our lodge had everything from a fridge to a cooler - to a wine bottle opener and mustard and ketchup packets. ||The place is clean and the bed is very comfortable (which is something one may not be so lucky to find at a hotel). The location is adorable. They have a very cute backyard and walkway to explore, which is so relaxing after a long day of hiking! ||I cannot think of any complaints at all, as this place met and exceeded all of our expectations for our first Airbnb visit.
