I am but a humble visitor loving on the Sideboard Cafe. Why you ask?, well the many locals eating there probably found the same thing I did; a cozy easy-going atmosphere combined with good coffee and good food (what more could you ask for out of life?). I had the granola with yougart...it was tasty and wholesome, a great coffee late, and a tast of my son's breakfast pudding (savory and delicious, strong 👍) My drool fest continued with a glutin free olive oil lemon cake, also delicious. Get 'em when you can, they sell out fast. There is seating inside and out, and parking is limited. I hear the line goes out the door during the weekends, but I think the food might just be worth the wait...

We stopped in for a quick bite as we had some time before a luncheon we would be attending. We arrived on the Saturday of the Lafayette Art & Wine Festival, so luckily we were able to get through to the parking area.
Neither of us had ever been here before, but we are VERY glad we came in!
We had 2 orders of Beignets, I had a mimosa, Mom had a Hot Chocolate & my cousin had a Cafe au Lait. From the price, I expected only a single beignet, but there are 3 in an order. They were almost the size of baseballs, and they were so light & fluffy & not dowsed in powdered sugar. They were so Delicious! I had to take 3 of them in a to go box, or else I would have had no room for lunch! I loved my mimosa, Mom's hot chocolate came with a graham cracker dusting on the mug rim, and a toasted marshmallow inside, so good! My cousin's Cafe au Lait was in an extra large mug, and she said it was delicious also.
Our server Jacy Z was very nice. My cousin told her that the beignets were Better than the ones she had eaten at Cafe du Monde in New Orleans! I know they are the best I have ever tasted!
I am not sure when we will next be up in the area again, since we live in So. Cal, but when we do come up, I will make it a point to visit again! Thank you for the great service!😀

I loved this place. My family and I went there for late breakfast while visiting the area and there was such a beautiful menu selection that we wanted to try one of each 😋. I will definitely come back!

My go to place at least once a week! Love the tostada salad, the in season corn pudding and ahi tuna sandwich with homemade
Potato chips! The most excellent vibe exists here as well😍❤️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Haven’t been back around this neighborhood in quite some time and thought of this shop. Decor and setting remains the same but the food serve is a little different than how I remembered it several years back.

Food was good, taste like it was made to order. But for a side of tots and a bowl of soup cost equivalent to one entree is quite something…I guess it was dinner pricing?

Service was good and it was a Sunday free parking day which I suppose made up for it.

From my recollection, I've never been to Lafayette, and I was lucky enough to have a quick meeting at Sideboard in June of 2024. While I didn't eat anything during this meeting, the location was amazing. Great service, a wonderful atmosphere, and a collective location that I would love to visit again.

This cafe is too cute! I love the decor and how they serve in elegant ceramics. Better for the environment! Latte designs are cute and definitely makes my day better. And the pastry is delish!

I had this restaurant on my list to go for a while. Took family and friends. Everything we ordered was flavorful, well-portioned, and satisfying. Best brussel sprouts I've had; great fried chicken (in a bucket), great beet salad, tasty burger. The only note I have is the fried chicken sandwich was dry, and the bread didn't pair well with it. Their sweets are worth a try as well, albeit expensive. This is a great place between us and our friends.
