I had been wanting to try out the Shoshone Rose Casino as everyone says their slots don’t pay out. I’m so glad I stopped in to play! First time playing here and hit a jackpot on Rakin’ Bacon! Not even $50 in!

The hotel itself was nice. Staff was helpful. It was kind of concerning / weird when I went to the lobby bathroom and they had an STD poster and a supply of free condoms. Made me wonder what was going on there. My room was nice and clean though.

The casino is kind of small and the restaurant felt more like a hospital cafeteria than a nice casino restaurant.

Rooms were very clean. Nice bathroom set up and shower. Great price. Quiet, Casino gave us match money which we quickly lost plus more... (That's gambling) Restaurant was pretty good.
We would definitely go back if traveling thru Lander again.

Wonderful hotel rooms it's a small casino but entertaining the bartender was very nice my only complaint is breakfast I was the only one there and it took 25 minutes to get eggs and hash browns

I don't usually write reviews for hotels, but my stay at Shoshone Rose stood out amongst all the other hotels I stayed at during my long cross-country trip. So I wanted to add a more recent review to their other reviews. Since I didn't partake in the casino, this review is for the hotel and restaurant only. If I didn't have a travel itinerary to stick to, I would have stayed here a week because it was easy to relax in such a quiet and peaceful place.||The updated room was beautiful, clean, and had a gorgeous view of the Wind River mountains. I was able to catch both sunrise and sunset over the mountains from my window. No odors or heavy fragrances in the room either. You have to walk through the casino to get to the restaurant, but thankfully there's no smoking in the casino.||I didn't get to use the pool and hot tub, but I had breakfast and dinner in the Deka-Guy Hee restaurant. They have a decent variety for the unlimited salad bar, and an amazing Indian taco. The room reservation included a $10 coupon off breakfast, which you can pick up at the front desk in the morning. I got an omelet and it was a good amount of food for only a few bucks. They also offer a AAA discount, but their website doesn't have a way to input that when making a reservation. So I had to call to get it.||I also stayed at the Wind River Casino & Hotel 30 minutes away near Riverton, and Shoshone Rose far surpassed them in every way that was important to me: cleanliness, amenities, friendliness of staff, and value. So if you're choosing between the two hotels, Shoshone Rose has my vote. The next time I return, I will be booking a longer stay.

This was such a nice casino hotel. Stopped in for a night on our road trip for one night. The hotel room is very nice and clean. Spacious and updated decor. Although I'm much of a gambler the walk through the casino everything looked so well kept. I did swim in the indoor pool and man the heated indoor pool was fabulous and clean. The small on-site restaurant prices were very reasonable and the food was good. Sorry didn't take photos of this establishment wish I would have. Don't hesitate to stay here if you're traveling through. The room was less than $140 first part of July 2024 and was a large king-room. Well worth the stop.

For being in the middle of nowhere, not a bad little casino. Room was immaculate! Very inexpensive, and spacious.

Front desk staff was very helpful and polite. Room was very spacious and inviting. Only reason this did not get a 5 star was there was food from the previous guest left in our fridge. Rates very reasonable and seems like a great place for families to stay. Casino offers fun for adults while children will enjoy the indoor pool.
