This Sheraton seems to be understaffed, which, unfortunately, is a challenge for many hotels. With that said, all the staff were friendly and did their best to be helpful and accommodating.

The restaurant has limited choices, and at 1 point, missed putting in our lunch order completely. The food was pretty good.

My room was nice. It was comfortable and clean. Housekeeping did a great job, even with a large conference on-site.
Most of the outlets in my room did not work, and there is significant noise from inside the hotel and outside at times.

The location, being connected to the convention center, or if you are looking to be downtown, is great.

Had an amazing experience with this hotel! Net helped us check in and she was super friendly, super attentive & so kind. I forgot to print off my discount form but she was able to get it from my phone. In the past other hotels would not let me do that. The hotel was nice and clean. The only negative is how long it took valet to bring you your car. I would definitely work on that. Overall, I would come back here due to the hospitality Net had!

Do not stay at this hotel. For over $300, you can find WAY better. I booked a king room a month in advance. I have attached the advertised photo and the photo of the room I was given. I checked in a day in advance for a king room. I checked in at the front desk at 6 pm the next day and was told a king wasn’t available and they were all dirty (even though that’s what I booked and checked into 24 hours in advance.) I was then told we could get a room with two queen beds. The room has two full beds. So, not only did we not get a king, we didn’t even get two queen beds. I was told the two queens were the same price as the king although the king was more expensive online. I would expect a cheaper rate if I wasn’t getting a king bed.

The carpet is disgusting. There are stains everywhere. There’s what appears to be blood on the bathroom door and wall. A used bar of soap was in the shower. The hot water is warm at best. For $300+ in Birmingham, Alabama? This is laughable.

The A/C is awful. I’m not even certain it works. I haven’t even tried to shower, but the tub is gross. The beds are so old and uncomfortable. We have no microwave in the room even though we were told it did. The tv is so old and outdated.

Room was comfortable and staff were all very friendly! Also ate at the lobby restaurant and the short rib was delicious! Also a quick walk to multiple restaurants nearby. Close proximity to highway, so there's a bit of ambient road sounds, but personally did not bother me.

Booked here because it is next to Legacy Arena where we were watching the Sweet Sixteen. It was a great hotel. Staff were so very nice, each and everyone of them. Wonderful customer service. Rooms were clean, bed was great. Nice breakfast selection off the lobby area. Easy walk to some great restaurants, the Art Museum, the Sports Museum, Protective Stadium and Legacy Arena.

We arrived I was going to use my husbands points to find out I there was a reservation which I had asked if I had months ago. No email or anything. So instead of letting me cancel I had to use the 1 night reservation instead of points. The water in tub was not hot. The sink water was hotter. I ordered a burger that was pink for lunch. Definitely had better. Everyone was really nice so that helps.

I found this hotel to be way below the standard I would expect from a Marriott brand. Staff were overall very average with their service. Lounges in the USA are nothing compared to the lounges in Europe, Middle East and the Far East. Not even worth going into in the USA when the hottest thing you can have for breakfast is toast! This lounge in the Sheraton lived up to the expectations I had prior to my arrival. Dry Cleaning went missing and then was delivered back late. Inadequate breakfast facilities for such a large hotel hosting conferences. Very poor indeed.||However, praise to the staff that cleaned the rooms each day. They were exemplary in every way!

Night shift front desk agent 11pm April 27th. I ordered DoorDash and they left it at the front desk. It was Wendy’s. I went to go get it. The front desk person was helping someone so I went up to the shelf, looked over at her, she looked at me, I thought we had like a nod of agreement like “I’m gonna take my food” so I did. I grabbed it and started going back to the elevator. Halfway to the elevator I hear yelling and turn to look but don’t see anyone. So I keep walking. Then I hear yelling again “you need to get back here or I’m gonna call security” and I turn and go “what?” And she goes “get back here or I’m calling security” and then to someone else she goes “he’s walking to the elevator” again I go “what?” Deadpanned. And she goes “you’re not DoorDash you need to bring that back” which makes no sense. For 1, if I was DoorDash I’d be dropping it off not taking it. 2. It’s offensive, like do I look like I’m DoorDash? Then she goes “that’s not yours you need to bring it back” and again I bluntly go “yes it is” and she again goes “you’re not DoorDash I’m gonna call security” and said yes it is again. Then she goes “that’s a guests not yours” and I go “I am the guest….” And then she goes “oh, have a good night” and walked off. Like another point is I was wearing a $10,000 Rolex and she thinks I’m trying to steal Wendy’s? Additionally I’m titanium… and this is a Sheraton. This is something I would only ever hope to have happen at a residence in or crappier property. Wtf?

Additionally the people were rude over chat when I asked for an upgrade before checkin.

And room service barely cleaned at all my entire 5 night stay.
