I've done a lot of traveling in my time & Shawnee Hill B&B is definitely at the top of my favorites list. The Log Cabin we stayed in was lovely, clean & neat. Everything we could have needed was provided for our stay. We got in late due to a flat tire & relaxed immediately in the comfort of our cabin that was surrounded by nature. And peace and quiet. If you are looking to relax, this is the place for you. Rhea simply was the best hostess ever!

We stayed at the Shawnee Hill B&B in the log cabin suite in late August weekend. The B&B is nested in a secluded, serene, in a wooded setting. The cozy and very romantic log cabin room has a large bath tub, large shower, a gas fireplace with remote control, TV, DVD player with DVDs to watch, a sofa, a dining table, an outdoor deck with a fire pit, a barbeque grill and outdoor seatings. The bathroom was filled with all the wonderful Bath & Body Works lotions, body spray and candles that you can think of. In the common area connected to the log cabin, you can find all kinds of sweets, snacks, teas and coffee to enjoy. Rhea brought us an amazing and most delicious homemade breakfast on a huge tray in the morning. We got the visit Blue Sky and Star View Vineyards on Shawnee Wine Trail. We also did some hiking in Giant City and Ferne Clyff State Parks and enjoyed the peace and beautiful nature. Rhea, the owner, was amazing and so easy to work with! We look forward to our next stay 🙂

I normally do not like B&B's but this one changed my mind and it will change yours. Secluded, in a wooded setting, no noise, privacy, every conceivable amenity. Our room had a hot tub (which unfortunately the jets were not working), a gas fireplace operated by a remote control, a TV, a DVD player, a sofa, a dining table, an outdoor deck with a fire pit, a barbeque grill and seating. The shower is huge. The bathroom has bottles of everything you need in case you forgot to bring something. There are antiques everywhere you look. There are snacks, drinks, microwave popcorn, many DVD's. Everything is immaculate. The food is great, breakfasts were so big that we never ate lunch. Breakfast is brought to you on a huge tray. The host and hostess are so friendly it is like going to visit grandma and grandpa. Right in the middle of the Shawnee Wine Trail. There are two cats and a dog on the premises.

Stayed for the eclipse and would love you come back. If you are definitely into wine, then you found a great place to stay at. Located fairly centrally, easy to find and great host! The cabin I stayed at (The Victorian) was lovely and very cute. Also if you are planning booking, get Rhea to cook the breakfast. You will not be sorely disappointed!

What a lovely place to visit! Charming, quaint, unpretentious, and welcoming in every way! Owners Rhea & Tony are an amazing couple who put thought and care into their business and interactions with their guests! Cabin Suite had all the comforts of home and more, delicious breakfast, and attention to every detail. We greatly appreciated their graciousness and look forward to our next visit!

We stayed here for the weekend and it was absolutely perfect! Rhea was an excellent host and anything we could possibly need for our stay was available. The breakfast both mornings was perfect and more than enough food to fill us up. We’ll book this place again for our next Shawnee Wine Trail trip. Thanks Rhea!

This quaint bed and breakfast is a must in southern Illinois. The owners, Rhea and Tony, were very nice and accommodating. They went above and beyond with amenities, both in the unit, and in the common area. Rhea asked questions which she said would help her better meet her guests needs. The room was clean and nicely decorated. Will definitely stay here again when we make a trip back to southern Illinois.

Beautiful, quiet, peaceful environment! Loved Tony as host. Rhea was having knee surgery but he still took time to make sure we had everything needed and stories to boot. We hiked the short 4 minute walk from our cabin to the cave where Daniel Boone wrote his name. Check out the barn that was built in the 1800s too. Lovely property and lovely people!
