I had a fantastic stay at Shawnee Forest Cabins! The cabins were well-maintained, clean, and comfortable, making for a great getaway. One of the best parts was the location—Garden of the Gods and other scenic trails were less than 10 minutes away, as was the beach, making it incredibly convenient for exploring the area.

The cabin itself had excellent amenities, including a private hot tub, a firepit, and a grill, perfect for relaxing after a day of hiking. They even have a Tesla charger available if needed, which is a great bonus for EV travelers.

Overall, I highly recommend Shawnee Forest Cabins for anyone looking for a peaceful, well-equipped stay in a beautiful location. I’ll definitely be coming back!

We had a lovely stay. The cabin was clean, comfortable, well equipped, and cute. Outside area was well maintained. Communications regarding booking, directions, etc were prompt and reliable. Great hiking very close. Hot tub was very clean and nice and hot. We've already planned another trip for fall.

Stayed here for easy access to the Shawnee NF. Quiet, cozy and clean—everything we look for accommodations like this. It will definitely be a place we book again. One thing I would like to note: the hot tub was very clean and well maintained. Our family has stayed at dozens and dozens of VRBOs, Airbnbs, etc and this is the exception not the rule. We really appreciated that!

We are independent travelers. Shawnee Forest Cabins were great in their "no-contact" service! Everything was organized, intuitive, good instructions, good maps, good labeling on the property, and great electronic communication. We didn't have to talk to anyone. We just showed up, found our cabin,
followed the instructions, and began our relaxing weekend.

The cabins were newer and clean. They definitely gave a rustic feel with cushy amenities. We highly recommend staying at these cabins if you like a mix of rugged outdoors with some creature comforts.

We truly appreciated the charcoal grill and the fire pit--firewood included! The fire pit offered warmth not just for the body, but for the soul, fostering connections and lasting memories.

We loved Cabin 3–two bedrooms, a kitchen, and living room, hot tub, and fire pit. It was serene, the kitchen had everything we needed, the firewood was plentiful, it was within walking distance of The Outpost and a few minutes in the car to Garden of the Gods. We highly recommend this place to stay while exploring the east side of the forest!

Staying at Shawnee Forest Cabin #7 was an amazing experience which exceeded our expectation. We drove about 16 hours from Ontario, Canada just to see this place. Our cabin was nice and clean, quiet, well supplied with all we needed to enjoy our three days stay. Husband cooked on the charcoal grill and made a nice fire outside in the fire pit while I enjoyed the hot tub - every evening. Property is close to the Garden of the Gods which is definitely a place worth to see. We were even pleased to see that the surrounding area is a community of farmers, people seems to be religious, as we've seen many churches around, many hunters, almost no emigration (which in Canada started to be a big issue). Free people living a simple and very normal life. Compared to the big cities, we felt completely safe there. We would love to come back again.

Clean, comfortable cabins located 5 minutes from spectacular views and hiking at Garden of the Gods. Cabin had everything we needed for meal prep and the hot tub was a nice treat after days of hiking in Shawnee. We would definitely stay again!
