If you're a Plainfield resident looking to get married or are located within the area please do not overlook this venue! When we got engaged, we looked and looked to find the perfect venue that fit all of our needs/wants with no avail (to give perspective we looked all over the Chicagoland area, Oswego and northern Illinois). When we finally went on a whim to The Sanctuary, we were instantly in love. It's got a cozy romantic and modern vibe with just the right touches of history (I personally loved the chandeliers with greenery, the bars and the piano). This venue easily sat our 132 guests for the ceremony and dinner. Typically, the ceremony, decor and dinner are the most intimidating parts to set up for, but Shelly and Nancy were amazing to work with. This venue provides various styles of optional decor that is INCLUDED in the cost of renting the venue. This made our lives so much easier and our wedding much more budget friendly. For the decorations we did bring, they did an amazing job communicating and setting up wherever we wanted them to.
An additional notes:
Prior to our wedding, my husband and I had very limited knowledge on wedding schedules, how long to delegate certain tasks like saying hello/thanking guests for coming, or dealing with potential conflict with other vendors or guests. Shelly was SO SO wonderful at guiding us and she was so patient with us. Even a month later as I'm typing this, I am so grateful for all she has done for us (THANK YOU SHELLY!). All of our meetings were thorough and not one question was missed throughout the process of planning our wedding here.
The BARTENDERS, oh my goodness, the drinks were amazing. We purchased the premium bar for 4 hours and every single family member loved it! Even some of my aunts who weren't keen drinkers told me about their custom concoctions made by the bartenders to meet their tastes (some liked it fruitier, some liked less alcohol, some didn't know what they even liked). If you're looking to do his and her drinks, we did this and they were amazing.
Our wedding was on a Sunday so fortunately we were able to keep some of our decor and leftovers from catering overnight and were able to pick it up the following morning. Christian was the kind gentleman who let us into the facility the following morning and when I tell you how surprised I was that everything was packed and ready to go! The amount of dread I initially felt just imagining the packing process wiped me out. So Christian, I am so grateful to you! Thank you so much.
Nonetheless, just do it. Book the venue. We'll probably do it again for a baby shower in the future. You won't regret it.

From the moment I walked into this place I knew this was the perfect place for our 25th Vow renewal. The Team was amazing every step of the way but I have to say that Shelly almost felt like family by the end of the process. I literally had to worry about nothing she took care of it all and the day of I am so happy I did not hire a wedding planner because she was on it and not needed. From the moment we stepped into the Sanctuary, we immediately fell in love with how stunning the place was and knew that this is where we wanted to host our wedding. Nancy & Shelly really took the time and cared about every little detail that we wanted and helped bring our vision to life. The day of, Shelly and her team were OUTSTANDING, making sure that we were taken care of, on schedule, helped make the room look beautiful and that no detail went astray. Throughout the entirety of the night, we had guests coming up and complimenting how beautiful the space itself was. The transition from the ceremony to the reception, with the subtle "room flip" was so seamless and quick that we didn't even realize that it happened - which was one of the small concerns we had. This is such an amazing backdrop for a wedding or any event with such a qualified and amazing team of dedicated professionals who provide exceptional service.

Sanctuary Events, Plainfield, IL along with their entire staff, Shelly, Nancy and Jessica gave my daughter her dream wedding!! They are amazing to work with. The venue was gorgeous and they did all the decorating, including all the floral arrangements. The table settings were amazing. The servers, the bartender everybody was amazing. I mean, there’s no other words I can use to describe this FANTASTIC venue and staff. Sovereign provided all the food which was fantastic. It was a fabulous wedding due to all the hard work of everyone at the sanctuary events and Sovereign. We cannot thank everyone enough. We had our ceremony and reception at Sanctuary Events. It was absolutely perfect! The space is a beautiful combination of industrial and luxurious. There are incredible photo opportunities with the beautiful bar, spiral staircase, and blue velvet couches. Nancy and Shelly are honestly amazing. When Shelly tells you they will take care of everything - believe her. They made sure everything was taken care of before and on our wedding day. I can honestly say I did not have a single worry on my wedding day and I would recommend this space to anyone looking to have a comfortable, beautiful wedding that guests can’t stop talking about.

I had my baby shower at Sanctuary Events. The venue has so much charm and is a blank canvas so you can transform the space into your own unique vision!
