The first time I set foot on San Marcos Ranch, it shot straight to the top of my list of favorite venues. You can stand anywhere on the property, and every direction you look reveals a unique and stunning backdrop. Even better, with so many gorgeous spots, it is unbelievably easy to find somewhere that looks lovely with the lighting at any time of day, not just golden hour. Its variety of offerings makes it ideal for any vibe, from rustic charm and classic elegance to playful and adventurous. As a photographer, it is always the first place I recommend to my clients and they never regret choosing San Marcos Ranch.

As a wedding photographer, I’ve had the privilege of working at some incredible venues, but San Marcos Ranch in Paso Robles truly stands out. The rustic charm and breathtaking landscapes create a magical atmosphere for any wedding. The whole venue offers a unique and picturesque backdrop that makes it easy to capture beautiful moments throughout the day. The staff at San Marcos Ranch is top-notch—friendly, professional, and incredibly accommodating. They work seamlessly with vendors to ensure that the day runs smoothly, which makes my job as a photographer so much easier! From the intimate ceremony spots to the spacious reception areas, the venue is designed with both beauty and practicality in mind, making it an ideal location for couples and photographers alike.

I love this ranch! A beautiful property with so many features. One of my favorite spots is sitting on the deck overlooking the pond surrounded by trees and walking paths. The lighting at night is stunning. Another favorite of mine is when you enter the property you drive down a tree lined driveway and overlook beautiful pastures. There are horses, goats, peacocks, chickens, and an amazing dog, Chewy, who welcomes you every time you enter the ranch! There are three places you can stay when visiting. The gate house is a 3 bed, 2 bath home, or you can pick from two different RVs. One is the Cozy Cowboy, a teardrop trailer, that overlooks the mini pond by the goats, and the other is a large 5th wheel that overlooks the lavender fields and backs up to the horse pasture. You truly have to visit to experience how magical this place is. I’ve attended a few weddings here and they are all magical and different. One ceremony was in front of the white barn, with lights hanging over them and white roses surrounding the bridal staircase. Another smaller wedding was on the deck overlooking the pond with the lights reflecting off the water, and another was set up in the gorgeous rose garden surrounded by blooming roses of all different colors. You have to visit San Marcos Ranch! The owners are the sweetest, and will gladly give you a tour. It will be your new favorite spot in Paso Robles!

San Marcos Ranch is a dreamy venue with so many gorgeous places for photos, weddings and events. The peacocks are a real treat and the owners are the kindest sweetest people. There are onsite accommodations for up to 12 guests and plenty of room for parking and entertaining. Just a stunning property. You won't be sorry if you book this property.

I’m a wedding photographer and had my first experience with San Marcos Ranch today and the whole thing was EXCEPTIONAL! The staff was so lovely - welcoming, knowledgable and friendly. The whole venue was filled with so many unique characteristics and was VERY well kept and taken care of. The whole space has such a personal feel and you can tell that it is LOVED! My colleague and I were VERY pleased with the entire experience and are looking forward to working with them hopefully again and again! We feel confident referring our wedding couples to San Marcos Ranch as well as we have no doubt that they will be taken care of. If you’re getting married, DEFINITELY take the time to book a tour!!!

San Marcos Ranch is an amazing venue! I am helping my cousin plan her wedding for the end of this year and we are all so excited for the day. Melanie has been amazing to work with and very professional.

Love this venue! Beautiful rolling hills surround the property. Multiple locations to choose from for a ceremony site. I love the lakeside option! Gorgeous white barn. Owners are lovely as well.

San Marcos Ranch is an absolute dream wedding venue, with its stunning rose gardens, serene waterfalls, and charming ponds, all surrounding the impeccably designed barn. We had the privilege of being part of their grand opening ceremony, where we unveiled our new couples' love journal and captured it in a styled shoot within this enchanting setting. The experience was nothing short of magical. Highly recommend!
