Stayed here for a convention at the SJCC, so location was perfect! It was very nice to be directly connected. Besides the mattresses being pretty comfy, the room was really disappointing. There is NO ventilation. We had the AC running the entire time, but that did not help at all with the stuffiness. There is no fan in the bathroom, so it got really smelly and humid really fast. Not a pleasant experience.

Typical Marriott. Comfortable modern rooms. Friendly and helpful staff. Great location for the convention center. Nice M Lounge. Good food in the lounge and the coffee shop. The only drawback was they canceled my reservation made 4 months in advance so they could sell the room for $1300 a night. I had to call in a favor to get it fixed. So, just remember that you may or may not actually have a reservation here.

I came down for SoFA First Fridays.||This property used to shine brightly in downtown San Jose, standing tall alongside iconic spots like the former Fairmont Hotel (now Signa). But when I arrived, it felt like it had seen better days. The sign on the roof seemed like it had given up entirely.||Much of the charm was clearly lost, probably during the pandemic. The corner bar, Cobre & Clay, was a letdown. Drinks and food were overpriced, and the Flautas I ordered were bland with no real flavor. I had to smother them in hot sauce just to make them edible. There was a time when Michael Mina ran the restaurant next door, and that's when the bar food was actually worth mentioning.||The room itself was a decent size, but there was an oversized corner sectional that just didn’t belong. My room was on the 18th floor, with a nice view of the convention center and the Hilton across the street. However, there was this weird banging noise coming from the bathroom, which I eventually just ignored. The TV wasn’t working either, and after three failed attempts to get it to work, I gave up.||Overall, the stay was fine but not memorable. I’d probably choose a different Marriott property next time. This one was convenient for the event I was attending, but that’s about it.

If you are driving, the entrance is easy to miss, especially when it is a busy check in time, but otherwise, we had a great experience for our short stay. We came the night before a volleyball tournament at the San Jose convention center and it was very convenient for us to park, stay, and walk to the convention center hall for the tournament. We ordered delicious dinner from one of the restaurants that can deliver straight up to the room. The pool and hot tub on the 3rd floor are small, but clean and fun if you like having the option.

This was a really nice experience. The hotel is very conveniently located, rooms are large and beds are nice with duvets. Reception is super friendly and lots of water available all the time, and a fantastic Fitness. Possibility of making tea and coffee in the room. Lobby is large, with a bar and a billiard table.

$53.00 to self park. No valet. No help to get to room. Room dim. One bulb burned out. Poor towel quality and amount. Trolly noise can preclude a good night’s sleep. Missed a make-up mirror. No food available in hotel when we arrived exhausted. View was over a roof top……etc.

Have stayed in great Marriotts and some not so great. For a Marriott of this class, it’s the poorest I’ve ever stayed in.

Average Marriott experience, meaning overall significantly better than any other hotel experience. Comfortable, clean, and modern. Our room had a great view from the 16th floor and the elevators were quick and readily available so we really did not have to wait at all when coming and going. The only issues we experienced here were with the valet parking upon arrival, when we were promptly greeted by a valet associate who asked why we pulled into the valet area when there was a sign up saying that the valet lot was full. We pulled in anyway because the sign also said “registered guests only” which we were, and there is no where else to unload our luggage to bring it inside. We unloaded our luggage and my husband got back in the vehicle to move it elsewhere per the valet’s direction, but the valet returned and said he would find a spot for it anyway in the allegedly “full” lot. I also detracted one star because we were unable to procure a luggage cart to bring our belongings down from our room on the 16th floor. Additionally, we specifically booked this hotel to enjoy the rooftop pool which we were able to do on the first day of our stay but the following morning, we awoke to discover that literally ALL of the pool furniture on the deck had blown into the pool overnight and remained submerged there the entire morning, so we were unable to use it before check out time. It was windy overnight but not outrageously so. It seems to me that the hotel should have foreseen this problem and secured the furniture to the deck, or at an absolute minimum, they could have removed it from the pool in the morning in order to allow guests access to it. Overall it was a pleasant experience but fell somewhat short of the high standard set by our past experiences at other Marriott hotels.

Had a wonderful experience overall! The room had a great view and was tidy, even though I ran into a hiccup with not having a room ready when it was time to check in, it still was an overall positive experience. The amenities were amazing, parking relatively is convenient… The location is great and walkable!
