Very clean, peaceful and quiet. Not sure if you can but it will sure be a lot of fun if visitor can have a picnic there. There is a little pond with small fish swimming in it. The palm tree just makes it look super beautiful. The grass is super green which that is what bring visitor. There is a trail you can bike or walk from Woodward park to it.

Lovely, peaceful place with numerous trails. You can park at Woodward Park and take your family, your doggie on a leash, or just yourself on a peaceful walk. Direct access to the river and lots of little trails snake around through brush, grass, but mostly sand and gravel. Seating areas, picnic tables, and bathrooms are provided. Bike-friendly. A real gem in Fresno!

This was a perfect location for our film. Everyone involved provided us with exemplary customer service, the rates were fair, and the rental process was incredibly easy. Would love to come back.

Great place to enjoy the lower river basin. We like to ride our bikes there along the Eaton multi-use trail. There's hiking, canoeing, or just a nice place to picnic.

My husband and I are so fortunate to have discovered SJRP. Right from the beginning, we fell in love with the venue; the grounds, the barn, the garden, the ranch house --everything was beautiful. SJRP really is a hidden gem; I can't believe such a beautiful place exist right behind the traffic of the Woodward park trail. The event manager, Jesus, made the entire process so smooth and easy. He was flexible with us and made every effort to ensure our wedding day was easy and trouble-free. Because my husband and I were unable to bring vendors by the venue or have our rehearsal during the weekdays, we planned most of our visits and rehearsal/practice during weekends on days there were no events. The staff and volunteers were so accommodating to our request and were so friendly and willing to help. The weather leading up to our wedding was unpredictable, so we had to improvise and move the ceremony inside the barn instead of outside the ranch house. Jesus was quick to suggest alternatives to our first look and even offered to open the Ranch House so we can stay dry (even though we didn't reserve it); luckily the expected rain didn't come, but regardless, we were so lucky to have Jesus available and willing to help! After the wedding, we didn't fulfill the checkout requirements, but once again, Jesus was understanding of our situation and really took it upon himself to advocate for us, so we don't lose our deposit. I can't put into words how appreciative we are of Jesus and the staff and volunteers at SJRP. Weddings are stressful and to have a venue and event manager that is supportive is a true blessing. I highly recommend SJRP to all couples looking for a beautiful, affordable venue!

I’ve been monitoring a flock of American white pelicans that once frequented Fresno every summer since 2015 but now they seem to be staying here year round. They are normally spotted in the basins surrounding the SJ River Parkway and Vulcan Material company, but can be occasionally spotted in reservoirs in the surrounding areas like on Copper or Nees. This is a great area to go bird watching and the pelicans only enhance that experience. While white pelicans are inland species (brown pelicans are only found on the coast) they aren’t found everywhere so Fresno now having a consistent flock is pretty remarkable.

My husband and I had the dreamiest wedding at San Joaquin River Parkway and Conservation Trust this past weekend.

Jesus, the Rental Events Manager was such a joy to work with! The Trust and Jesus had great attention to customer service, and communicated timely. The venue allows for renters to choose from various vendors, which allowed us to have an affordable, one of a kind wedding celebration. The entire rental process was incredibly simple, and I cannot recommend this place enough!

This venue is perfect for any Central Valley-country themed event. We hosted a Hoedown for Young Life College at Fresno State, a youth outreach non-profit, and the venue was perfect. The security guards and staff were very friendly and professional. Light Up The Walls did the lighting and it was beautiful!
