We love coming here, we are pretty regular, been coming here for decades but my first time leaving an actual review but every visit has been pleasant. Their gyro meal is great, love it, its my usual dish i come here for, or the Italian beef every so often. The portion is very generous, their hand cut fries are great. Love coming here. Play a little slots afterwards. Plenty of parking and seating, cashier was very friendly, very uppity, polite. 👍👍

I go here primarily for the fries. They are absolutely phenomenal! Order them extra crispy if you like a crunch. The hotdogs and gyros are fantastic as well. My family speaks highly of the pizza puffs, chili cheese fries, ribs, and they always get banana milkshakes. Family-friendly environment and they have a room with video gambling machines.

What happened to this place?! I just ordered Chicago style hotdogs and the bread was hard along with the fries being hard, old and cold. I only ordered from here for the fries. Never again! $55 for old hard cold food. DoorDash doesn’t even have an option to remove toppings. Bye Sammie’s RIP

I’ve gone here at least once a year since like, forever, and it’s always great food, great service. Happy to support a good small business. Yes prices have increased, but so has gas, rent, your groceries, and more. It’s inflation people. Will always continue going here! The fries are my favorite

The combo I ordered was not worth $12+ very little beef, which was thick and not very tender, the sausage was well grilled. Cheese was added to the bread and not melted on top, which 99% of restaurants do it that way. The small fries are very small, again at $2.99 is truly embarrassing, what made up for it a little, was the taste and texture. Order took over 20 minutes. Most likely, I will not be visiting again.

Great Chicago Hot dog's,burgers,Italian beef and awesome fries. They have a large menu here of delicious favorites!! Staff is very nice along with prices being reasonable. We will be back!!

The first time here I spent over 100 bucks on lunch while doing a job in round lake IL doing a backyard patio. Second time there the truck Ford F250 engine shut off a block away from the bank where my check was drawn on. I was able to steer truck into gas station. So I walked into Sammie's and asked if anyone could help jump start the pickup. So this cutie jumped from behind the desk to help me jump start pickup. I was just talking while she looked like she was amused by situation. While this happened my boss was at the bank to deposit the check for 45,000 bucks from Larsen's manufacturing from work we did. He was wondering why I was at bank cause he was there and I was like to cash my truck cause I wanted to put gas in the work truck I drive.
