I stayed at The Rusty Buck Inn on February 25, 2025, and had an experience I will always remember. It was a clean place that the residents and management take unprecedented pride in keeping that way. I was staying in a room there and wasn’t being the tidiest so, the management and residents were all kind enough to pitch in to show me how to clean up and I HIGHLY recommend them for their teamwork and personal touch they put in their cleanliness!

Very cute little hotel, it is less then 500 feet from the road, very noise, refrigerator made whistling noises all night, the bed is horrible and the pillow shams stuck, shower was dirty, but other than a miserable night sleeps(what sleep?) It's a cute stop.

I've lived here for 8 years and have never been to this Inn. There are new owners and have recently renovated all the rooms. So I have nothing to compare it to the previous owners. But I can say this, now it's a really cute Inn. The room was clean and well furnished with rustic type cabin furniture. The bed was comfortable and the sheets were crisp. I did enjoy my visit.
All reservations are made online. There really isn't a physical front desk to check in, but the process the Inn uses is very easy to navigate. To me, it qualifies as a boutique hotel.
I do not know how kid friendly it is, but would assume that everyone is welcome.
I would suggest this Inn to my own family if they were needing a place for the night/nights.

Our stay at the Rusty Buck Inn in Heber, AZ over Thanksgiving was truly a memorable experience. From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by the welcoming and friendly atmosphere. The staff made us feel like part of the family, and we were especially grateful for Dave and Hailey, who was incredibly helpful and informative during the booking process. She provided us with great insights about Heber and the surrounding areas, making us feel even more excited for our visit.

The check-in process was seamless and stress-free, which set the tone for the rest of our stay. The rooms were spotlessly clean and wonderfully cozy, with every detail thoughtfully arranged. It was evident that the entire property is well-maintained, and it offered a peaceful retreat for us to unwind and relax. The bedding was a highlight—luxuriously warm and soft, which made our stay feel like home. There's nothing like sinking into a comfy bed after a day of holiday activities!

We also appreciated the small but thoughtful amenities, like having a Keurig in the room. It was such a relief to be able to enjoy a hot cup of coffee or tea without having to leave the room, especially on chilly mornings.

The Rusty Buck Inn made our Thanksgiving getaway special, and we can't recommend it enough for anyone looking for a cozy, welcoming spot in Heber, AZ. The staff, the cozy rooms, and the attention to detail all came together to create a wonderful experience. We'll definitely be back!

Had king room on main floor. Great shower and towels. Had a comfy side chair plus high top table with 2 stools. Bed very comfortable. Only issue was getting in the room. Code wasn't working. I called the number I was given and waited an hour to get in. Different locking system would be helpful!

The new owners have done a wonderful job restoring this inn. The rooms are decorated in such a way that you feel you are in a comfortable home. From the leather chairs to the hand crafted bistro table, cedar plank ceiling to the new wood floors and rug it was one of the cutest rooms I have rented. The rustic feel with the lantern lamps and eight point buck print on the wall, it’s perfect place to stop if you are in the area. The court yard with picnic tables, carved figures surrounded by the newly painted exterior makes this quite charming. So glad we made the call last night as we were driving through the area and decided to stop and stay here. Highly recommend it!

We were very happy with our stay and wish to return soon. The room was clean and comfortable, with furniture that looked very new. We had everything we needed. There were good dining options within walking distance. The hotel's communication was also good; they let us know everything we needed to know beforehand. Two things future guests may want to consider (which did not bother us) are: (1) The Wi-Fi was not fast, so we used our cellular network instead. (2) We could hear the footsteps of the people staying upstairs
