I loved my stay here and plan to come again. I was looking for a nature stay near the mountains and I found it here. The owners are very conscientious and the rooms are clean and nice kept and upgraded. There's a fridge coffee maker and microwave in the room. Very dog friendly with a nice large fenced in yard. Twin Lakes is a beautiful 15 minute drive away. The owners have hot chocolate and snacks for $1. 5 stars for a homey stay.

The weather turned quickly and our plans to camp on BLM failed. My husband and I back tracked to Bridgeport, fell in love. This town was quiet, I suspect for the time of year and weather conditions. Mary at the front desk was sweet, accommodating, and quick to get us to our room (we were visibly chilled). The room looks untouched since the 1980s! The heater works phenomenally and the room felt clean for a motel. My only qualms are the carpet smelling and the price of the room, yikes. ANYWAY, so appreciative of the room vacancy, inviting townspeople, and the SCENERY.

My partner and I were on a road trip in October 2024. It was late when we pulled into Bridgeport. The small town looked really cute with a handful of hotels and places to eat.
The staff at the Ruby Inn, where we ended up staying was very accommodating. The room however cost 180.00 for one night, a Queen bedroom. The carpet and the decor looked like they had transported from 1980. I honestly think the sculpted carpet had to be a minimum of 20-30 years old. If it hadn’t been so late, we would have ask for our money back and left.
The cute restaurants and bars, (all of them) were closing at 8:30 and it wasn’t possible to get served dinner, anywhere in town even though they advertised staying open later. The bar wasn’t serving any food at 8:30.
Lone Pine Ca. not more than a 30 min. drive further South was adorable. We wish we would have known to go a bit further.
Our advise is to drive through Bridgeport without stopping! The value for the dollar at the Ruby Inn was a 3 out of 10.

The owners (I think that’s their role) are a very sweet and friendly couple. When I’ve stayed here I feel like I’m staying with an aunt n uncle. The rooms are cozy and a have a sentimental 80s feel. All the basics are there like a fridge, clean coffee maker, microwave and a table. In the office they do sell some snacks and cup of Ramon. They are pet friendly and no extra charge for that, so nice.

Our second stay here with our dog. Very friendly staff. Room was clean and comfortable. Very pet oriented with fenced yard for dogs to run. Great location. Small fridge and microwave in closet. Contrary to amenities listed, NO continental breakfast.
We will definitely stay here again when in the area. Happy traveling! Highly recommended.

What a jewel! From the first rate check in with Kate, to the hospitality of the owners Steve and Mary, this modest motel offers all of the comforts of a large inn at a quality price. Rooms were clean and extremely comfortable, cleanliness a 5 out of 5, including a well running fridge and microwave. You can see the little attentions to detail all around the property. Neat, clean, and welcoming. Even the hardworking housekeeping staff were professional and extremely personable. I've spent the last four years at an establishment down the street with numerous disappointments and a less than friendly staff. This place is the epitome of small town charm and first rate service! Many thanks to all of you!

This is the best kept secret in Bridgeport. The room was clean. Even though the motel is older, it is well maintained and has been updated through the years. The staff was friendly and helpful. We would recommend this as one of the best mom and pops we have stayed in.

Last minute stop on a roadtrip. We called at 10pm with a check in time around 1am - office staff was happy to accommodate despite the late hour.

The room was spacious but a little outdated, to say the least. The shag carpet on the floor in a place the sees snow (and a number of other things for that matter) was the only real red flag - which honestly isn’t a big deal at all.

Otherwise, everything was super cozy and worked perfectly. We didn’t use the shower, but nothing stood out as unclean or broken.

Overall, it’s a perfectly fine place to rest your head. By no means is it fancy, but it’s a cute little time capsule. Wouldn’t hesitate to book again if needed.
