We enjoyed our stay here for 2 nights while on a fishing trip to Seward. The English theme was nice, the rooms and beds were comfortable. We slept well since this was a very quiet location. We cooked a few meals and the kitchen had an ample supply of dishes, cookware and utensils. Overall, this place was short on amenities, there was no TV or Internet service. Don't forget to bring soap and shampoo as none was provided. The price was high considering the lack of these items.

My wife booked this entire place for myself and my 2 best friends as part of an epic early birthday weekend for me. We rented the entire 3 bedroom, 2 bath house for 2 nights at the cost of $600 plus tax!! When we arrived, the door was unlocked and there was a note from the caretaker Steve to make ourselves at home. We caught up with Steve the next day and he was friendly and not nosy or hard to deal with whatsoever. The house itself is older like early 1900’s, but well maintained while gaudy at the same time. Crazy wallpaper everywhere! The house has rainwater for a water supply as evident by the many signs around the sinks. There was some very old cheap coffee in the cupboard but the creamer was a rock hard lump and the sugar packets were quite old as well. There was Kureig coffee things everywhere, but no machine to go along with them. It was very disappointing at 04:30 in the morning. After a long day of fishing, we all wanted to shower and there was no soap or shampoo in either bathroom, so it was back to Safeway for some body wash and shampoo. The stove and oven are propane and the oven took quite some time to cook our dinner. The freezer failed to completely freeze small ice cube trays, even after an overnight stay. There isn’t a living room, so we congregated in the small dining room. The internet password was about a mile long and after connecting finally, there was no data available. There is also no TV or phone in the house. It appears that at one time it was an “English” bed and breakfast with individual keyed locks on each door and a key for the front door. The 2 mattresses upstairs were in poor shape. One was described as terribly flat, and the other as being as soft as a telephone pole. My bed downstairs was somewhere in the middle. I think with a little work and forethought, this place would be an amazing get away for a family, or close group of friends. I’d say it’s a diamond in the rough. The cost however during the tourist off season made it a very rough diamond though. We still had a good stay there and quite a few laughs at our adventures while doing so.
