This hotel is the pits. We had a few roaches show up for our stay. The hotel clerk was nice but I had to go up there twice about our room key not working. The carpet in the rooms had holes in it. The shower rod block looked unsafe. The toilet rocked. We didn't feel comfortable sleeping in the sheets, so we went to Walmart across the street to get new ones & slept on top of theirs. The wall had a badly patched hole in it. The pool looked it a lake. I would never stay here again & highly don't recommend it to anyone. Management needs to get a business loan to update this place. The only thing decent was the location, which means they have the potential to turn things around if they invest in the place.

You get what you pay for here. The guy at the counter was really nice and helpful. Room was kind of rundown, but satisfactory for the price. Felt safe and was close to some restaurants. 👍🏻

Toilet had a wash rag shoved into the back of it (for what I don’t know) . There was feces all over the underneath of the toilet. Mold growing on cabinet doors of sink along w black sock’s underneath the sink. Room smelled so bad ! Had to stay here while apartment was being worked on and it was terrible !!!!! Owner didn’t care that the first room I was in was disgusting ! No comforter on bed when it was cold outside. Second room smelled so bad ! I was ready to be home ! Never stay there !!!!

I am originally from Sylacauga, but recently moved out of town. I went back for a visit and decided to get a room and just stay over night. For starters, I can't even find the words for how very nasty and disgusting the room was, not to mention the AC sounded like a dinosaur every time it would come on and the temp had to be set on lower 60s just to be somewhat comfy. The bathroom door was literally falling apart, as it was split and the facing of it was pulled away and just looked like it was rotten wood. The bathroom nor the room looked like they had been cleaned more than a swipe and miss and the person before me, their key was still laying on the table which I got mixed up with mine and had to go get it redone. The carpet, again, no words to express how filthy and there's no amount of cleaning that could fix it, as the only thing that should be considered is ripping it out of the room and replacing it along with the falling apart bathroom door. As I looked the room over there just wasn't anything at all pleasant about it and the ONLY reason I didn't leave was I was absolutely exhausted so I just tried to touch very little stuff and I did check the mattress before I ever considered laying in the bed. I slept on and off for a couple hours, got up, didn't even bother with getting in the nasty shower and just made my best decision to wait until I got back home to shower! It's hard to describe this experience but I won't ever, ever, ever stay at this hotel again unless I find out there's new management and a complete renovation!! Don't waste your time and money! Also they advertise they have free breakfast and there was nothing but a small cup of coffee, the very basics for even that!
P. S. Housekeeping, "Frances" had left an envelope on the entertainment center that she had written her name on and also wrote that it was a "tip envelope" and if you didn't want to tip, she didn't care!! THAT was the icing on the cake for me!!! 🥴

This place is terrible. Go somewhere else, keep going, or sleep in the car. All the pictures on here are false. Believe me or go ahead and spend 91 dollars for an oyo level experience. What's oyo? Look it up.

Customer service was rude, location is great next to all of the food and shopping. The room smelled really bad of old stale cigarette smoke.... coffee machine was nasty had to wash it myself then the coffee package was wet, the blankets on the bed where nasty how to buy Lysol will not ever go back

We moved 3 times , all of the rooms have problems the first one the door didn’t lock then we moved to another one that one was flooding and the one we are in now the air don’t work the people in the front office had a attitude !!!! Don’t recommend they need to upgrade there rooms !!

I chose this hotel as a stopping point before going to Lake Martin for its price. It is the filthiest hotel I’ve ever been in. I should have left. I got out my Clorox Wipes to clean the surfaces I would touch, and they turned brown.

The refrigerator had an ice bucket with ice in it. Most of the lights/lamps did not work. The sink are had dark, dirty spots all over it. had to hold the on button on the wall for the hair dryer to work—no way to style your hair and dry it at the same time, and the cord was gross. I could go on….

I can’t believe this is a Choice brand hotel.
