Pretty disappointed with this place. Advertised pool and hot tub online and well we get there after checking in and both were closed. Nothing on website about it being closed. Then no hot water and no place to hang coats or clothes. Hot water was turned off. Had to wait quite a while for hot water. Will never stay there again.

We stayed there last weekend. Pool and hot tub are not in working order. They also sent confirmation email months ago with our stay price and when we got there they raised our stay price $200 more dollars. And blew us off said the price is the price and they can't change it.. but my biggest concern is we found a bug... most definitely a bed bug. And also woke up with 4 bed bug bites.. currently looking into how I go about report this hotel to the state of iowa.. Grosse🤢 would never recommend staying there

Arrived to find a spot of blood and a dirty pillowcase & upon further examination no mattress protector ... Was Provided an entire new set of sheets ... But upon putting them on, we found the pillows underneath stained and well past their lifespan ... The mattress protector although supposedly just out of the wash was grossly stained ... There were attempts to update fixtures etc ... However the holes where the old fixtures were did not get filled nor then the walls repainted. There was a huge spot of something on the wall behind the dirty upholstered chair. The room smelled like cigarettes although no smoking is allowed. We did talk to the manager and get a discount without much pushback which was only fair as a dirty hotel room is highly unacceptable. Definitely won't be back.

We stayed here while on a trip through Iowa . The motel consists of a main building and 3 out buildings. It's definitely an older motel, but it is kept clean. Our beds and pillows were very comfortable, the room was good-sized, and the staff were available for anything you needed. Very friendly also. Coffee was available 24/7, and the breakfast bar includes juice, cereal, breads and muffins and make-your-own waffles - which were very good. Would I stay here again? Yes

Positive: Location was the only thing good about it. Negative: Yes I didn't like the room because it didn't meet my expectations room was not so clean bed sheets smells stain on furniture breakfast not so good.

No problems here, excellent rooms, clean and very well temp. Pool. (Upper 80°'s?) Hot tub( I didn't turn it on because i had my 4yro in with me) was about 95-97° not bad for idle temp. 24hr coffee, breakfast options where decent.

Property is quite dated, but they do a somewhat decent job keeping it up. I was in the building behind the main building, which was quite musty smelling (like an old lakeside cabin that gets closed up every winter). Fortunately, the bedding didn't smell terrible, so it was tolerable, and the bathroom was clean but could have used updating also. The AC/heat unit made an ungodly noise at times, but settled down with a few adjustments. If I was spending more time than sleeping in the room, I'm not sure my review would have been as good. The breakfast was lackluster but passable, no "hot" breakfast aside from the waffle maker. Also note, it was off season so the rates were lower, and you get what you pay for comes into play... I may not have been a bit harsher if I was to stay mid-summer. This hotel isn't quite deserving of the four stars on the Choice Hotels website, but it's not anywhere near the worst stay I've ever had.

Stayed here a few years back no issues so decided to stay again with my aunt. Big mistake on coming back. After getting to our room there was food still in the fridge from the previous guest, paper plates in the drawers and they seemed to not have been cleaned for a while as there was a thick layer of dust in them. Went to go plug my phone in and trash under the table, turn on the light by the bed trash by the night stand and under it as well. Didn’t notice till I was about to check out of the room but there was a plastic bag over the fire alarm. Which is not only highly illegal to do but unsafe for the person staying in the room. Also hair in the tub. The breakfast was okay. The fridge they have the yogurt in could be kept at a colder temp as my yogurt was slightly warm.
Normally I can look past a few things here or there because some people miss things when super busy. But it’s the off season. Try to do better.
