Rockridge Day Spa is a wonderful business in many ways. The environment is comfortable and inviting due to the warm and very friendly staff. My aesthetician, Elsa provided me with the most excellent facial I’ve ever had. This facial, with fine products, relaxing aromatherapy and primarily, Elsa’s facial massage techniques, left me feeling stress free and rejuvenated. I highly recommend this excellent day spa . My daughter also loved her facial with Lilibeth! Both Elsa and Lilibeth are wonderful aestheticians and very lovely people.

I had an amazing facial with LilliBeth. She was so friendly and sweet and used massage techniques for applying all the products, which is not what I have usually experienced. I really appreciated that she did not talk much unless I asked her a question, so I was really able to just be in the moment and it was a very soothing and peaceful experience. The massage and facial were good, the arrival experience less so. One must wait in street clothes in a quiet room that is neither quiet nor warm enough to remove a coat. In the massage room you need to undress and walk on very cold cement to access the massage table. The bathroom on the first floor is in a back room that looks like a warehouse and has no heat at all. A robe and slippers were provided only after the massage. This was not the relaxing experience that I expected as a lead in to my massage. I think Rachael and Dmi did a fine job under the circumstances!

Appointment 1: I received a beautiful, blonde halo ($650 for service + tip + hair care product). It took 7 hours, but I appreciated that she took her time to do it right. When I got home, I realized the back of my black sweater was ruined from bleach, but the stylist sent me $50 for cover the cost of the sweater right away. Appointment 2: I went back 6 weeks later for a blonde touch up and asked for curtain bangs. After 3.5 hours, my hair was splotchy dark grey/purple and I had micro bangs ($224 for service + tip). The stylist asked if I could come back the next day to fix the color. This was a bit frustrating since I took off work for the appointment, but I had two large-scale events in two days, so I needed my hair to look nice. Appointment 3: A color remover was applied to strip the purple, leaving light brown hair (not the blonde I originally asked for/paid for). After 6.5 hours of trying to get it right, I’m calling it quits. Very disappointed ☹️

I have been coming here for many years as it is down the street from me. I started out with a massage series, which is their packages of 10 if you are committed, and want a cheaper price upfront.

Then I would come for my hair services once my friend, who did my hair styling moved out of town. They did a good job, but I was not into sitting there for so long, so I stopped going for that service!

Now I am back with another massage, serious, much needed with all of that tension. You build up day by day! The massage rooms are small, but clean and welcoming. There are restrooms both upstairs and downstairs. Some masseuses are better than others so hopefully you can find one that you like and they will stick around. Like most places masseuse turnaround is very high. You can even read profile bios of the masseuses on their website.

There is a variety of items you can buy at the front desk area and they have a bench now to sit while you wait for your service.

I am also on the email list, so I get announcements of new events.

The downside of the massage series is that you have to call in or go in person to buy it and can’t do it online. I like doing everything online and I don’t understand why they don’t have that option for this! Luckily, you can make your appointments online.

Emailing the front desk is a hit or miss. Some people reply right away and some miss your email and won’t reply for many days.
