I recently stayed at Rock Island Inn & Suites in Streator, IL, and had a great experience.
The hotel was clean, quiet, and well-maintained. The staff was friendly and accommodating, making check-in and check-out a breeze.
Room were spacious, neat and clean.
I will stay here next time I come streator.

We totally enjoyed our extended stay at Rock Island Inn in Streator, IL. The owner and his wife are very welcoming and go out of their way to accommodate the needs of all their guests. The rooms are clean, attractive and comfortable and they serve a complimentary breakfast of eggs, sausage, waffles, fruit and cereals, and more to choose from. The inn is centrally located, close to all shopping, has good internet, and strategically located security cameras inside and out for safety and piece of mind. I would recommend this place to anyone.

This place is the worst! Rented a room for my son because he had training at the Vactor factory. He got there and even as a 19 year old kid he would have rathered stayed in his car then stay in one of the rooms, he said the smell alone was terrible. Bathroom had holes in the walls and a broken window. I told him to go to the front desk but all they would say is "We were not getting our money back" . The pictures on the website are very deceiving and I would definately avoid this place. We will be disputing the charge on our credit card ! I wish I could have given it 0 stars!!!!!

This the best place to stay if you find yourself in Streater, IL. Close to all the major stores. I booked directly by calling the hotel. The workers are friendly. Full of information. The rooms are not perfect, but the rooms are clean and the AC blew cool. The worker said they will be have renovations, so I hope they get them done soon. This place could be a gem. The breakfast is quite decent for a small place. The indoor pool was also a nice touch. Also, they don't have an elevator so if you have trouble taking stairs make sure to ask for a 1st floor. We stayed on the second floor and it was to hard going up and down the stairs. Water pressure was good and always hot when we needed it.

I thoroughly read through reviews before booking this place and thought it’d meet our needs for a quick overnight. I have many regrets. Our poor experience began at check in. I booked this through my company’s discount page. My confirmation included our one night stay with 2 adults and 2 children. Upon checking in, they claimed they needed to charge me $20 extra because our kids weren’t included on the reservation. I had my confirmation email up at the time and showed that it did include them. I was still charged, regardless. We get to the room and I can’t say anything good about it. The room was NOT worth what I paid. Marks all over the walls, sticky spots on the floor, holes in the bathroom door, the toilet wouldn’t flush. I wouldn’t even bathe our kids in the tub - but my husband chose to shower and the water never got warm. Wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. Save yourself the hassle and book a reputable brand.

The SMELL in our room was terrible, powerful, and overwhelming. I'm pretty sure a dog had just pissed all over it and then someone just sprayed it down with a TON of air freshener, because that's exactly what it smelled like. Would NOT recommend.

I had to pay like $145 (w/ dog deposit) and it was the grossest place I've ever stayed.

I was traveling in from out of town for a funeral and when looking online, this seemed to be the best option. I have tried to upload the review with photos and I can’t tell if they will upload, so I’m going to list a more than initially. I do recommend getting a hotel from a neighboring city/town before booking here, truly. Parking is on the smaller end, but close to the entrance. The location was okay, there’s nearby gas stations and stores. The gentleman running the desk was polite. As for the hotel itself, it’s MUCH nicer online than in person. Upon climbing the steps to the second floor, there was a large AC unit laying on the floor from the time of my arrival (6pm) and it was there after I checked out (8:30am) - which isn’t a huge deal, but with the issues I had, it adds to the list of showing the upkeep of this hotel. Upon entering my room, there was dirt tracked on the carpet throughout the space. The shower head has not been cleaned and has a great deal of build up on it, and if you enjoy a hot shower - you’ll be disappointed. Personally, I don’t like hot showers, but I found myself turning it as far to the hot side as possible and still finding it a bit cold. The shower curtain rod has been ripped out of the wall and the way they just shifted it an inch over and slapped some “drywall” repair putty in it was alarming. The rod didn’t feel stable when I did pull the curtain. My towel that was left on the tub to be used as a post shower step out towel had holes in it and looked chewed. The top and the sides of the bathroom door frame have some residue on them and before you suggest rust, there was some but that’s not what I’m referring - this was a sticky substance that did wipe off when I rubbed a napkin along a small part of it. My sink was not properly cleaned and had a large hole on the front part of it. The bathroom door had a hole on one side of it. Plus, a plethora of other things I know I’m forgetting. Overall, my room was genuinely dirty - like someone got food on the walls and door frames and it was not cleaned off. My pillows were stained and smelt - which led to me being uncomfortable with sleeping in the bed. Anywhere I looked, there was something to notice. I truly don’t expect above and beyond when getting a hotel, they’re not brand new and I keep in mind THOUSANDS of people have stayed in the room I’m in. I usually book a Holiday Inn and have never had any issues. But everything from the dirty walls and floors, the dirty pillows, the bathroom being a wreck - this was genuinely the worst hotel experience I’ve had. The room next to me was a family with children and one of the children would knock at my door then run to hide, which the father and mother made no effort to correct and on his second time doing so for that morning, they only told him to “Hurry up” so they could “go to breakfast”. I would say their behavior is a reflection of what kind of people stay at this hotel.
