When my kids and grandkids were growing up, I used to rent this out for birthday parties and graduation parties. It is very well kept, and there is a walkway over to where the playground is for the kids. The botanical greenhouse is right outside as well. There are kitchen and restroom facilities here for use as well. Highly recommend, but make sure you can get in. I attended a graduation party there today, and the party that rented it couldn't get in with their code. They were thankful the gardener was there to let them in. However, they were then so rushed for time to get set up that they didn't get the table covers on for the graduation party.
All in all, it's a great place to host really any type of party.

Yes, there is a picnic area and a very advanced playground that accommodates everyone. But I don't see it as dog friendly. That's okay. I wouldn't want dogs doing their business in a playground or a vegetable garden either.
I wish this app didn't expect me to talk about what they want.
I want to talk about all the effort the students put into the vegetable gardens that people come to see. I want to talk about the effort the horticulturalists have put in year after year to make this a CROWN JEWEL of civic effort!

Confusing on the plant sale. Cash only. Good idea to bring something to carry what you purchase. It would have been helpful before looking around to know. It was cash only. Only to be disappointed and leaving since I don't Carry cash

It is a very beautiful and relaxing place to take a stroll, view and capture pictures of flowers and nature. You will see everything from butterflies, bees, squirrels, hummingbirds, birds and chipmunks to the friendly volunteers who keep this place looking beautiful and clean. They are always looking for volunteers( no experience necessary) if interested in helping.

This is my favorite place to find plants. The prices are great and those taking care of the gardens are very eager to share their knowledge. It is on my must visit list when coming to the Quad Cities! Make sure to check ahead for their hours to visit the greenhouse as they are limited. Check out the beautiful fairy garden!
