We stayed for five nights over new year and can’t recommend Rincon Creek Ranch highly enough. The casita (we stayed in the Farmhouse) was beautifully appointed and luxuriously equipped, the views over Saguaro East and the mountains were spectacular, and the size of the property and spacing of the casitas ensures plenty of privacy and quiet. There is lots to see and do in southern AZ, but we almost wished we’d spent more time just taking in the Ranch. A definite highlight of our trip, even during a late December cold snap.

Amazing retreat in nestled in the hills of the Rincon Mountains. We stayed at the Rincon Creek Ranch in February and enjoyed every minute of our stay. Bill and Gretchen are consummate hosts and instantly made us feel right at home. We were greeted with smiles and helpful information and our cabin was ready for us the minute we arrived. Everything on the property, including our cabin, was immaculate. All our items for our breakfast bundle were in the cabin when we arrived and our delicious cheese tray arrived shortly thereafter. The surroundings are peaceful and the views stunning. Every morning my husband and I took a walk around the property using the trails they created. It was safe, easy to navigate and offered many animal experiences including birds, a bobcat and horses. It was the perfect way to start each day. The cabin (we stayed in the Farmhouse) had everything we needed and was the perfect size for our family of four. We enjoyed fires at night and relaxing & reading on the porch. The kids used the game room for pool and shuffleboard and that too was beautifully set up. They even provided snacks and drinks! It was the perfect place to stay while exploring Tucson.

My wife and I had been anticipating our trip to Rincon Creek Ranch since before Covid reared its ugly head which meant we sat on our reservation for a year and a half. To make a long story short, it was well worth the wait! We were pleasantly surprised to learn that pictures of the buildings and the surrounding territory don't do justice to what really awaits you at the ranch. The scenery is spectacular, mammals and birds show up at random, the casitas are clean, comfortable and well-maintained, and Bill & Gretchen are perfect hosts with their kindness and friendly energy. We liked our first stay so much that we've already booked our next Rincon Creek Ranch adventure for this coming February! You have to experience this property to believe it, so our advice is for you to get online or call the Shirley's and book your reservation today! Pat & Marjorie/St. George Utah

Although it’s been awhile since my wife, daughter, and I stayed at the Rincon Creek Ranch, (October 2020) our sentiments remain the same. We arrived and were immediately made to feel at home by the owners Bill and Gretchen. They gave us a tour of the land and facilities. Afterwards, we were shown to our casita, El Ranchito #4. The casita is beautiful beyond words: the great room, kitchen, bedrooms, and bathrooms, are exceptionally decorated. My wife, who is an interior designer, said that the stay was outstanding. The porch faced Saguaro National Park and we couldn’t get enough of the magnificent scenery and solitude. From the birds, to the javelinas, and the quails, we were able to enjoy nature, literally at our backdoor. You are able, with just a few steps, to enter Saguaro National Park from the casita. Thank you for the wonderful stay. We will surely return!

My wife and I choose the Rincon Creek Ranch as a place to celebrate our wedding anniversary. The pictures on their website looked very inviting, so we decided to check the place out. What we experienced during our stay was absolutely fantastic – everything was even more beautiful than in the pictures.
We were amazed by the beauty of the ranch and the nature surrounding it – all the colorful birds and the small wildlife, starry skies, amazing sunrises and sunsets. The ranch borders the Saguaro National Park, which can be accessed through a gate from the ranch and there are miles and miles of hiking trails in the park. Also, there are endless walking trails within the ranch.
The casitas are very tastefully decorated, with attention to detail, lots of amenities, bright, with lots of windows and breathtaking views, but still provide privacy because the casitas are not too close to each other. At the end of the day, soaking in the bathtub provides a wonderful way to relax and wind down from all the daily activities.
After experiencing this place, one thing is certain – you will have hard time leaving. What makes it easier for my wife and I is knowing that we will be back. Bill and Gretchen, thank you for your wonderful hospitality and creating such a beautiful place to be enjoyed - Rincon Creek Ranch is a hidden gem that must be discovered!

During the pandemic, we wanted to get away from our regular routine, and spend time outdoors while celebrating Christmas and New Year's. All of that was accomplished at Rincon Creek Ranch. Our 1 bedroom casita was stylish, clean and cute as a button. The proprietors stocked us with firewood for our wood burning fireplace, bubble bath and bath salts for our Kohler jacuzzi tub, fresh coffee beans and grinder for coffee each morning and even personalized Christmas Stockings and a New Year's Eve bag complete with noise makers and Prosecco! There were bird feeders strategically placed outside our large picture windows for nonstop bird watching and binoculars for close-ups. The porch featured two wooden rocking chairs for sunset viewing. There is also a gorgeous "community center" for use of all guests that had a pool table, wooden shuffle board game, big screen TV with satellite channels, books, DVD movies, even adult coloring books with colored pencils! The entire space was decorated with antiques from the southwest and definitely gave off a ranch vibe...so well done!
As for the great outdoors, there are private hiking trails on the Ranch property (75-acres, I believe) that were fun to explore. The BEST amenity was a private entrance into the Saguaro National Park East. We hiked miles and miles, exploring the park while avoiding the crowds. You can buy your park pass online so there was no need to go the Park's HQ which is just a few miles up the highway. We did, however, visit the main entrance and drove the 8-mile desert view loop which was well worth it.
Rincon Creek Ranch was one of the most relaxing getaways we have had in a long while. It felt like home, yet provided enough new experiences that we were refreshed after our week-long stay. Everything from the bed linens to kitchen towels to snuggly his-n-her bath robes were high quality and luxurious. The appliance were high-end and seemed to be brand new. If I could claim this place as my second home in the Southwest, I would!!!!

This place is amazing, just do yourself a favor and go!!!! Bill and his wife Gretchen were so nice. We pulled up and were greeted by the dogs, always an A+ in my book when there are pups involved. Bill then escorted us to our one bd casita Appaloosa. The view from the living room and porch on this place were insane. over looking the mountains and Saguaro National Park East. Even better, you can hike to the park from this place.

All details were met on the inside. My wife absolutely loved the massive copper soaking tub. The kitchen had everything needed and the couch and chair were very comfortable. I will definitely go back to this place, the attention to detail and proximity to hiking in the park were amazing.

We stayed at Rincon Creek Ranch over Christmas 2021. If you want solitude in a great environment, then RCR is the place for you. We enjoyed every minute of our stay. Our casita met our every need as well as being spotlessly clean. Bill and Gretchen are welcoming hosts and made sure our stay was enjoyable.
